Yes, the club is always bigger then the individual - so why was no action been taken agaisnst certain individuals who caused the club so many troubles. You know who I'm talking about.

The incident at the clubrooms after our semi final victory last year: our ex-president punching one of the junior players fathers in front of people who were only there because thier boyfriends / husbands / mates were about to take part in a grand final. What sort of image does this give outsiders seeing the head of our club smash another bloke?? THIS IS A FACT THAT THIS HAPPENED AND THIS BEHAIVIOUR IS INEXCUSABLE!

The club was lucky there was not an exodus of players leave at the end of last season beacuse of this incident alone. I for one do not want to play for a club with that sort of culture. The same players that are leaving now were one phone call away from walking out after the grand final last season, but decided to stay because of their team-mates and the hope something would change at commitee level.

I appreciate the fact you took over the reigns to hold the club together - but hard decisions that had to be made were left unattended which lead to two more drunken incidents (at a players 21st two months ago and the club function this past saturday night) involving the same batch of people. Once again no action was taken - why in this case were these individuals placed ahead of the good of the club???

Personally, when I heard of the latest indescretion - that was the final straw.I think the players that are leaving were really only playing in the hope things would change with a changing commitee. Obviously they haven't and the trouble-makers have been given a free reign with no repurcussions - over the concerns of the players. How can we be expected to play for a club where the drunks hold more sway then the playing group?

I feel terrible for the guys who have been there for years and the juniors who look up to us - but don't make us feel guilty because had the above issues been addressed - this WOULD NEVER OF HAPPENED - GUARANTEED.
Good luck at your new club. Hopefully you can stand up and face them and tell your new team mates that you walked out on your old ones half way through a match.

As for young players looking up to you. My son plays there and granted your bowling talents are something to aspire to but as a clubman no way.
If you weren't in the first eleven you didn't want to know them.

As for the incident last year, didnt the ex president get banned for the rest of the season and all functions?

You wouldnt know because you didnt attend many yourself.

sydnem hillside we offered to play your guys with 7 players using just one sub and to say we wouldnt do it for you come on i helped moonee valley this week they couldnt field a side on saturday so i let them play us on the sunday all i care about is giving people a chance to have a game of cricket.

come on buddy dont drag our clubs name into the dirt!!!

if u had 7 players all u had 2 do is show up and game on!!!

the minimum number of players is 7....and you can have 4 subs no worries!!

from what i was told you had 6 and wanted to use a sub for the 7th player...that goes against the NWCA rules...maybe in the lower grades you can get away with it but not luscombe...

we have accomodated other clubs in the past by doing the same thing as what you have done with MV...

Yes so much for wiseman being a wiseman!!! Looks like Campbellfield will have a big hand in shaping the finals and with a game against Buckley this week will have to be given every chance to grab 4th spot!

They have a strong bowling line up and there bats seem to be getting some consistency!!

HAHA, i said the same thing 2 or 3 matches ago and everyone laughed at me. i said they had a balance side and Dickson and Ivernson needed to help out the new recruits with some batting performances.
Seems i dont understand cricket at all;) (only joking)

PVCCC vs BP??

SH vs RP = Forfeit

TL vs KGG = KGG just by looking at the score card seem very impatient with the bat. Bat 80 overs boys, then ya give yourselves every chance, enough solid bats if your willing to spend time at the crease - Viani, Rogo, Gatt, Lampolous, Catania.

GP vs CCC = Good win, GP wont loose 2 in a row and wil be back on the winners list this week im sure of it!

You're pretty quiet on here today Gladyboy...Something to do with the belting that you received on the weekend by any chance?

I couldn't imagine how it feels to be smashed by the bottom side (at home mind you, and in front of the faithful) and then have to front up to everyone on the Big Cricket forum on the Monday :)

roxy's not going to have the best side going around but with the young blokes around the club we are still going to be competitive, also we couldn't do any worse than how we started the year off......

any news on how the taylors lakes went in the 20/20 after winning the regional play-off?

Keilor were 0/108 off 10 overs, before being bowled out for 137.

TL were 7 down, but fell about 25 runs short at the end.

Re: North West Cricket Association

roxy has lost prob 1 good player out of the 1st 11 personally i would have to agree with other statements and say that yeah the other 4 were deffinantly tag alongs who if he said jump they would all be saying how high. how bout you boys (the deserters) grow up and try and stand on your own 2 feet and not worry so much bout what A.R has to say.so as far as im concerned you can have the rejects boys. have them at your club for a month and see how much they all suck the social side out of the club.

Re: North West Cricket Association

A note to all from Roxy

Wake up to yourselves and stop airing your dirty washing on this forum. You are making your club look and sound worse by throwing insults at each other and fighting with the guys who walked out.
Standing on the outside looking in your club sounds like a rabble. If you want to attract new members and players you are not going about it in a very good way - remember this is a public forum so anyone can read this.
They're gone! Move On and rebuild your club.

Russell has been around the traps and played at 4 or 5 clubs in the last 10 years. He is only loyal to himself and to his interests.
