Both teams going in with momentum, should be a cracker, how can you under-estimate Roxy after their weekend performance.
On another note I dropped into TL v Gladdy at TL ground yesterday. It amazes me that the Gladdy Heirachy allow such Scum to continually show up and embarras themselves by "supporting" the team. There was this one absolute Germ sitting by himself under a tree, blind drunk continually swearing at the top of his voice. Genreral consensus is that Gladdy players no problem, but the scum that hang around, get blind drunk and make total f*ckwits of themselves let the place down. Gladdy Heirachy - Time to have a good look at yourselves and rid the club of these ar*eholes letting the place down. There are problems when I have to shield my 2 young kids from crap like that at 2.30pm on a Sunday arvo watching a game of local cricket.

.
i was disgusted myself, the bloke in question i think is better than that though.

as much as anyone want to bag gladdy, and we are our own worst enemies, (i also think it cost us 3-4 lineball decisions during this game alone) i was pretty proud of the boys..... we have lost 6 out of 7 tosses in luscombe finals, always tough chasing in finals. good luck to taylors, a tough mob who bat right down, and not actually a bad bunch of blokes.
cheezel balls excluded.

Good on Roxy, well done, you should give Lakes a good run in the final!!!!!

Lakes too good for Gladdy!!! Gladdy was out played, out captained and completly humiliated. they gave the lakes at least 50 in the field.

Markham should have a good look at his side and his tactics for next year!!! Cant smash the better sides out of the game any more they are onto it!!!

My tip for the GF Lakes in a very very close one!! John Markham for TL BOG

Gullyrat or is that danny

One thing has’nt changed , you still have little to no knowledge about the game .

You make references to captain’s , amusing coming from you .

Is this the captain that made the art of leg side fields his speciality all in the name of getting some cheap wickets .

the 4 shot legs , 5 deep on the leg side and how can we forget that wonderful captains display against taylers last season , not to mention the game against gladdy this season where he had 7 fielders on the fence in the first over of the day !

and we cant forget his sublime leadership skills . after leaving gladdy because lack of opertunities with bat and ball , he bowls 2 overs against gladdy in round 2 and bats at 6 , then again against gladdy bats at 6 in 2 day game chasing a moderate 226 . than as a miracle bats at 4 the following game against campbellfield as was the case first time around against same opposition .( over half your runs came against Campbellfield )

having spoken to many gladdy people , old and new , you are not in the same galaxy as markham , that includes with bat , ball and captaincy .

courageous one , next year have the balls to bat up the order against the likes of gladdy and show people that you can at least have a crack even thought you have limited ability with bat and try bowling those darts to top order batsman not the likes of the Campbellfield tail .

Re: North West Cricket Association

I take it that Roxy took every catch???? i doubt that?? i heard they dropped your FAT opener on nothing and went on and made 80?? About 4 dropped catches to them??!! No LBW to them yet 2 to you??

Both team had chances i think.........

Might have been the 6 people you had on the fence all day??!!

From what i can hear you can sum the win up by the attitude of Scott "i cant 2 balls in the same spot" Mackay's attitude...... wasnt he yelling at the Roxy boys on the way off ground on Saturday that they should look at the scoreboard??!!! Do my a favour Harey, and tell him to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: North West Cricket Association

Please tell me the NWCA r not going 2 hold the G/F at donnybrook, lets play it at pascoe vale, fast ground plenty of runs and a exciting game, closely located 4 everyone. Donnybrook , cold as ever, middle of nowhere, the game will be boring, 200 runs on a very slow ground will be enough. How boring, also facilities are below average.

you would think that it would suit Taylors, Slow ground and the pitch seems around a bit but is slow!!! Lakes have a few spinners as well which will play into their hands!!!
Markham TL took 4 wickets in very few overs bowling leggies from memory.

Lakes loaded with bowlers Thomas, Lee, Markham, Harrison, Just, McMullin, Morgan and Singh can all bowl and all can take a bag!!!

you would have to give roxy a chance they have beaten evryone except taylors and no one expected them to win last week!!!

Lakes firm favorites but not over the line

lakers r over the line, its a matter of how far, however if the game was on a fast deck like paco roxy would of been some chance. Lakers have every base covered on that slow ground.

Maybe, but they have been clearly the best side in the comp for the last 2 years, only beaten twice both in 1 day games, never beaten in a two day game!!

Lets hope that they do not go out recruiting at the end of the year or we might as well pencil them in for next year

What are all you guys on??

Taylors home on a slow wicket and ground??? What do you think Roxy's home ground is?? Wake up you idiots!!!

Just keep righting Roxy off like you all have all year........i think they like it that way!!!

Re: North West Cricket Association

From what I've read on this forum, it appears to me that there is alot of talk about the TL boys. Yes they have alot of good players in their team but like the saying goes "a team of champions isn't always a champion team"

I doubt too many people know much about the roxy boys. This could work in our favour. Everyone knows what Johnny K and russell are capable of, but there are 9 other contributors that got us into the grand final. It definetely didn't happen by chance. This lack of knowledge of our team could work in our favour.

And it really doesnt matter where the game is played.

I agree, the non confidence in Roxy astounds me, especially as it must be coming from people associated with teams other than TL(can't imagine anyone from TL getting on here and putting Roxy down), people from these teams that Roxy were obviously better than during the season!!!!
Will be a tight one, that's for sure.
Hey Line & Length, your comment "a team of champions isn't always a champion team" doesn't apply to TL, they won last year with basically the same team and playing against them this year they are tight & play it hard. they've been there before and have some great experienced heads in the team(Markham,Just,Thomas,Tuddy), make no mistake they will be desperate to get back to back. I just hope it's a good game and may the best team win.

Now listen here taliban , you are way out of line. As a good friend of Danny I can assure you he is not gullyrat and infact gullyrat should say who he is so all this weak, petty character attacks stop. He is not on this forum nor does he care about who you are. He did read it after I told him to and it's obviously someone who plays in the ones but was reluctant to say who but is pretty sure he knows who is who. Seriously grow up and leave it alone, enjoy your end of season drink and move on . good luck to roxy and no doubt it will be a good game and it will be very close make no mistake about it. Roxy need to bat first as thomas will be hard to go after if they have to chase. Anyway good luck boys

I find it astounding that the comp would fixture the grand final at Donnybrook again after the dismal attendance last year. People are not prepared to travel that far there would be lucky to be 20 people viewing it last year.

It is supposed to be the highlight of the year if it was scheduled at Paccoe it would be a better game to watch bigger scores and massive attendance.

Absolute joke our comp is!|@
