Just quietly, who really cares about the NWCA? When I played juniors in that comp, it was incredibly strong, but the senior section is week as piss and has dropped off massively, and the juniors have as well. The standard of the whole comp is terrible, and is getting worse. Go watch a game this season, compare that to any VTCA or Subbies game, or even Premier 4ths, and you will understand my argument. Terrible.

If it wasnt 4 the NWCA you would not be at Essendon playing 4ths cricket!!

I have scene 4ths Premier cricket, and there is not too much difference between that and a Luscombe sheild game maybe a game between Cambellfield and KGG might sway argument in your favour!! VTCA and sub district (high grade) cricket has always and always will be a higher standard of cricket...Thats just common knowledge!

Yes the quality has dropped over the last couple of years, but by the sound of all the clubs crowing about the apparent inclusions the NWCA is only going to get stronger!!

Once you have had your time on turf, you will more than likely find yourself back at a NWCA club, where you started. The NWCA has got a lot of talented players coming into the comp and a lot of gun juniors coming up!!

Who do you think provides players for the comps you outlined... does that mean those comps are going to become "week as piss" as well..?

Just quietly champ, I aint playing 4ths at premier level, Im playin a much higher level than that.

Wake up to yourself brother, the standard is rubbish, and once I do wrap up my district career, I would play VTCA or Subbies rather than laughing stock that is the NWCA. There is very few district players to come out of the NWCA, and I can't see the situation improving

And as for the gun junior players coming through, I dont think so mate, I have a younger brother playing U/14 A grade and there are certainly no players that caught my eye. The juniors have dropped off rapidly, while the seniors have always been crap

I have played district cricket and if you dont play 1sts or 2nds then there is nothing special!

yes Vtca Senior is a great level.

I love people who can't recognise the truth and smell the roses. I played in junior and senior cricket in this competition for 10 yrs and am simply stating some home truths that you my friend may be unwilling to accept.

I admire every player for having a crack, but the facts are this:
- This competition has dropped off
- The current crop of youngsters aren't great, thru various reasons, such as choosing to play footy over cricket, playstation, computer, soccer etc etc

Nothing personal 'cyclone', just simply stating that this comp is a pretty poor standard. And of course everyone may voice concerns or raise topics about the NWCA, I for one am raising a concern. I just think it has dropped off and it needs to be addressed.

Also, players who no longer play Premier ricket no longer return to the NWCA, they seem to play VTCA and Subbies. would you agree? Hence, the youngsters coming thru the grades no longer have opportunities to mingle and learn from good cricketers, and learn good habits.

I am not bragging about my credentials, someone attacked my cricketing credibility, and I have stated my experience. I have played 1s, know what it is about.

As for you, I don't appreciate you calling me a f___head, watch your mouth, relax, it aint that serious, cricket is just a game.

Thanks for the support mate, i have fun on this site , bit of stirring etc but this guy is beyong big headed. he says he is a district ones player, well good for him, im sure the other 100 + district ones players dont bag the hell out od local associations.
