Re: North West Cricket Association

All this talk about Taylors Lakes and Gladdy...who cares...I'm sure everyone on this website is over hearing about the same players...

How about we hear a bit more about some other clubs...what about Pascoe Vale, Roxy, Sydenham, Cambellfield, or Buckly Park...

And to the goose who said that Thomas was strawberrry blonde...what a load of crap...he's a Ranga...

Re: North West Cricket Association

Im sure JM from taylors respects JM from Gladdy and vice versa - Both good players and good blokes to play against.
Im sure Jm from Gladdy has more District 1st hundreds, Jm from TL has one more luscombe, we could go on but lets not here theres only 1 JM anymore.

Thanks to everyone for there efforts sunday as Plenty was raised for the millsy s kids, you have to love playing in this comp when you attend an occassion like that, past players, present, members from all teams - just a glorious day by all and the buckers.
1st annual PV vs BP game for the Paul mills trophy.
Go BP - do it for your coach!

Re: North West Cricket Association

Speaking to alot of other wags on Sunday and found out the NWCA is putting in a ladies team. They need a few more females so if anyone knows any that want to play you have to contact Gibbos wife Sharon or the NWCA. Its in the womens comp but is a NWCA team. Apparently they are playing home games on Sundays and their home ground is Campbellfields ground.

Pretty  hey ,I was asked and am going to play its is for the comp so I reckon clubs need more women involved and it would be great for the guys to come and watch . After all we have watched you guys for years. I said I would help so if everyone can ask around. I know their is a meeting on Monday night for all Prez & Secs and Sharon will be there so just let her know.

Must agree, pooraverage obviously has neva had a conversation with Amar otherwise he would kno how much of a top bloke he is.

Amar came back becoz he wasnt enjoying it at sunshine and wanted to play with his mates, that simple.

Keeping on topic, lets look to the future.
Which club wood have the best youngster comming thru, again another thing lakes appear to be dominating in.
bowling attack of a.lee, j.lee and could possibly classify l.harrison at the age of 21.
along with Amar and young lakes star marc mudford comming bak to the club (former 1s player)

Throw in t.arnold behind the stumps and the future looks very positive.

then there is the 12 junior sides. to sum it all up, wow

the only team that comes close would have to be kealba's jnrs, ver y strong program down there

Amar is a gun, Marc is a good player who will be a very solid player in the future. Great fielder and handy with the bat.

Tynan is hard to gauge. Ive played against him a few times and he keeps well. Threw the bat around when I fielded so it was hard for me to say if he has the ability to cut it in the 1s.

Josh is only 16 and bowls a great line but I think he needs a few more tricks to become great. No dount he has something to work with. Don't know anything about his brother.

You blokes should try and get Kappa back to the club.

Agree on Fackler. Can't say about the two new blokes, but i definitely don't rate Portelli as a 'gun'. My questions is how loyal are these young players to their clubs, especially the players named from TL? I would think they will be moving on in a season or two.

Possibly, but for how long? they go away for a hand full of years, and then come back to dominate the comp. perfect example shane lee.

Amar and muddy have already tried the leave but came back very quickly, and there has been interest from other lakes interested in making the trip bak home

Just because Shane has come back doesn't mean that the rest will in years to come.

Enough about the juniors...and onto the real cricketers...

Who is the most overrated player in the competition and why? My vote is Greg Hocking from Campbellfield. Reasons - too old and too slow. Never that good...

how many games did you ever win off your own bat yeahyeahwhatever,if it is not shitloads then your knowwhere near as good as hock, how many runs have you scored in Luscombe shield. He maybe too old and too slow but if he decides to give it another crack in luscombe then let us know who you play for and i,ll tell him and well see how many he makes against your mob.
