I dunno about OPs, but I would have thought most clubs would be looking around at this time of year as to whats out there unless they already have someone signed?

While I do enjoy seeing people wind up Tongs, this defies logic. Why would an Eltham cricketer start playing for a club 20km away? Driving across Melbourne in Saturday morning traffic, trying to get home from social functions....... any DVCA player who went to Tongs new club would get sick of it pretty quickly.

I reckon the club are fairly happy with their appointment and winning the 1st XI flag, Toddy.
I'd suggest the 20km car ride for the player was worth it afterall?

Pretty unlikely I’d have thought, FD will retain him in some form of coaching/consulting role where he isn’t locked into set hours and days, young family and a very busy work life starting to take over.
