Premiership Contenders 07/08

We are now almost halfway into the APS season with three or four teams standing out from the rest. Xavier and MGS are undefeated with Scotch and I believe Skevs also close behind. MGS look the goods ova xavier with a better lineup in both departments but the dark horse is definitely Scotch who, with the addition of last years APS team's captain, Dan "Arctic Wolfeman" Wolfe, look very solid indeed. Any thoughts?

Yeh, MGS are gay so they won't win. Shaw has red hair and the umps feel sorry for him so they give him a few chances every time he bats. won't be able to make a run at xavier. Wesley might win...then again they are ********kickers too so they probably won't. I wouldnt classify Haileybury as a school really... moreover, Keysborough is closer to Sydney than Melbourne and you guys shouldnt be in the APS firstly cause you're cheats, secondly cause you are gay, thirdly cause lynch only gets a game cause his dad is coach, fourthly cause wakefield is fat, fifthly cause you aren't a team. Xavier will probably win with cross dominating and Scotch look like they're hitting some form.

geelong college, can not be out of the equation. HC look the goods, but if xavier keep getting first inn points.. there is nothing any school can do about it. unless hail coll win every game outright.. haha

well put Vandi, The Spy obviously has no idea, if he still believes that Lynchy's dad is still coaching. He felt after back to back APS premierships and Back-to-back Taverner's Cup's that there was not much left for him to accomplish. Good one mate!!

P.s. Vandi, love your work mate, absolute heart and sole of the 2's

Listen mate there is no way Xavier will win the premiership after their dismal 2nd innings performance against GGS.If they were any good they SHOULD have won outright and pleeeeease dont blame the umpires. MGS or Scotch are more solid and as for Goss and his big hitting.. I heard he was dropped a few times this wont happen against a good side who will catch sloggers!!

Wrong bloke mate. That was Cross not Goss. Not that spelling would be your best subject.

Wrong bloke OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE. That was Cross on his way to a century - not Goss. Spelling probably isnt your best subject.

What will you say again? I heard it was a very close Game. MGS got 200 to win by 30 runs or so. The bloke who got 90 for MGS was dropped early (not his fault I agree) but if that chance had been taken Xavier may have got a lot closer. There isnt as much between them as you reckon Mr Cockhead Raider.
But congrtas to MGS they won fair and square and I dont see any whinging by Xavier on here - just rubbish posted by you the big muppet.

MGS passed xavier 5 down then lost 5 wickets for about 10 runs - they couldn't really be bothered after winning. Xavier did bat and bowl well and tried hard however mgs were simply too good on the day.

Great result for mgs with their two leading run scorers (shaw and keath) contributing 0 and 14. Interesting next couple of weeks for the grammar boys facing two of the bottom three teams (caulfield and geelong college)

Scotch r a big shot at the flag this year. All players are contributing in a team effort and when u have upwards of 5 players who can realistically score 100s, and bowlers who bowl patient lines with a good variety u never know what could happen. MGS obviously have good depth too, so its just a matter of seeing who will last out the season. thoughts????

Goss cross who really cares we all know he is a slogger and what did he score against MGS? You should know crossy!!;)

Their is no real contest anymore as MGS have too much experience with the likes of shaw and the promising youth of keath and betts. Compared with XC who are filled with terrific youth which will hold them in good stead for next year's title race.

Interesting position, MGS have to win 1 of last 3 for premiership. If loose to Scotch and Carey would have to beat HC with Patto back to clinch flag. Talk about pressure. Huge game this week at MGS.

gamebreaker as you will see now, carey,xavier,scotch are all equal 2nd behind mgs. Not bad for a team like carey who won 2 games in 2 seasons coming into this season and are now 5-2
