Season 5 - New Player Draft

The Season 5 New Player Draft is OPEN!

Now here's how it will work. The teams have varying numbers of posting players retained from last season, and that will have an effect on the draft proceedings. The Figjams retain a whopping 13 players, the Lions keep 10, Crusaders 6, and the Magpies 4. Since we probably don't have QUITE enough new players to fill all the gaps, any gaps remaining after the draft will be filled with "characters" to hold places, until more new players arrive (as we hope they will).

We will cap the squads at 14 players, meaning the Figjams will only get one selection in the draft - so make it a good one! The draft order will be as follows:

1. Magpies
2. Crusaders
3. Lions
4. Figjams
5. Lions
6. Crusaders
7. Magpies
8. Magpies
9. Crusaders
10.Lions

And, unfortunately, that's it for now. We will allow 12 hours per selection, after which time the next team in order will be allowed to select. So, the Magpies are on the clock.

Jesus. Nothing happens for many days then there's 12 hours given. Not everyone lives on here full time.

The best posters should be split up so that each team will have some people posting each week instead of having a situation like magpies with only 1 or 2 per game.

Would make the comp more enjoyable

True that.

But what is going on with this draft, i'm happy enough to let the magpies take DJQ because he is a consistent poster which they urgently need to make this comp work .. but i am so lost.

BAH! Sorry guys, I've been hella busy with finals, and will continue to be until the end of next week. Can somebody else (Ljp?) take over this draft and other off-season things? I'd say we restart the draft and allow the Magpies to go ahead. Aight, see you in 10 days, peace.

Okay, I'll take over until Wilbix finishes his uni stuff.

Here is the draft order, I'm willing to start over and wait for the Magpies to take their pick.

1. Magpies
2. Crusaders
3. Lions
4. Figjams
5. Lions
6. Crusaders
7. Magpies
8. Magpies
9. Crusaders
10. Lions

Since the Figjams already have 13 players, they only get the one pick.

The Magpies now have 24 hours to pick their first player. Should that time pass without a selection, the Crusaders will have the right to pick a player. Any team who misses their pick is able to pick any player at any time as long as they let me know or make that selection public in this thread.

Okay, your pick Magpies.

Magpies have about 10 hours left to do their pick. Hopefully Fred will be on here early tomorrow and make his choice.
