Season starts tomorow :D

And look at the shitty weather! it always happens , God is not a fan of cricket. The minute he see's people start getting excited about the season, he decides to empty his super human bladder all over are little tiny happy bonfires. Any bets on another wash out season :mad: :cursing: .

Enyway if the God almighty finally stops urinating im opening bwling for 2nds tomorow in a high league:D

yup first game is the 27th then league starts on the 3rd of may!

Get in!

However it does mean I won't be seeing the girlfriend for 5 months!

Woah, what happened to your English in that post ?

I had my first Summer Net session on Thursday and my next one is next Thurs with my first game next Sunday, can't wait. Hopefully i'll continue to improve and take a few wickets in the game.

At least you're doing it and I hope you're not copying it all off of Wikipedia!

That aside the long term prediction for the weather is a muggy cloudy summer with less sunshine.

First outdoor nets were this Tuesday, also netted on Friday. First match for school (not serious) is on Wednesday and first match for the club (more serious) on Sunday. We also might be having a 'trial' match on Saturday at the club. The first league game that I'm here for is 3rd of May cos I'm missing the one on the 26th.

Got a friendly today, 1.30... look at the bloody clouds though. The rain is going to become my worst enemy this season. Will let you all know how the game goes :D

Nah it won't, the rain won't be anywhere near as bad as last summer, we're set for a very hot, dry summer according to my weather boffin of a mate, last summer was awful.

had first match, bowled shocking, batted OK. Completely the opposite to what i've been doing in the nets :cursing: which is a bit annoying but the batting was a case of keeping them out and waiting for the imminent black cloud which took about half an hour, watched 3 wickets fall at the other end so we nearly threw it away...guess it counts as abandoned.

this summer i've read is gunna be 3 glorious days then one thunderstormy day. Last summer was a fluke to do with the gulf stream being slightly off, it happens every 257 years. Thats why we were wet but scotland and norway were allright

Whilst it shouldn't be as bad as last year, you can only really take a stab in the dark at anything outside 10 days or so.

It frustrates me at the moment as having just moved to outdoor nets I now have to wait for it to be dry enough to actually net, which in some ways makes having a pre-season a waste as it might be 2 weeks between nets at this rate.

You lot are lucky, you want to try to sort out decent wickets when it's wet all the time. I long for a spell of about 10 days of dry weather.

played with morgy, bowled alright - got a wicket with my first ball! Our teams first wicket of the season ;D But then got bowled to one that kept low and came in - next saturday it all starts again :D
