Re: Should Cricket be in the Olympics

It would be great. Esspesially when the olympics is in england the place where the sport was invented. The olympics goes for 16 days and i will use the world cup playing teams for example there were 16. then surely with the amount of grounds in england they could come up with a draw that is fair(so maybe a group stage with the top 2 going through then a knockout phase). And i think that could have one dayers instead of 20/20 as they are a better representation of cricket. Then have maybe a four or five day test final.(stole that idea) Because why play 20/20 when you could play a one dayer start early in the mornin and maybe u would fit two games in??(Depending on how quick they bowl there overs, maybe put a time limit.) the second as a day nighter. Or even reduce the overs to 40 each or something.

Yeah I'd like to see it in the Olympics but no doubt that **** Murdoch would somehow buy up the TV rights and again deny a great many people of the opportunity to watch it so why bother?

Re: Should Cricket be in the Olympics

Yes it should be but the players have to be under 23 and have played no international matches in stage one (that is teams like australia and stuff, so it still allows teams like ireland to play with their best young players). While it's almost impossible to make it amatuerish, you can at least inject the passion from the players which is lacking in tennis for the olympics. Something similar has been done to soccer in the olympics and that has worked a treat.
It would be a T20 format to best promote the game.
