If Mcgain is the best spin option in Australia, then he should be played.
And currently he is, by a fair bit to.

Aaron Heal is an OK limited overs bowler, but is yet to really impress. Casson was looking very good in First Class cricket with both bat and ball in 07/08, but has disappeared this season. Nathan Hauritz is not an international standard bowler, but is probably the best we have aside from a fit McGain. Krejza in the same boat as Hauritz. Dan Cullen and Cullen Bailey are in the Casson category. Laughlin and McDermott are both pacemen. Nice try though.

All you have to do is have a look at their averages in first class. It is more depressing than the share market ATM. :p
