herd some very interesting news around the traps today.......
stuff about melton that is very discouraging before the start of the season.......12 players from the firsts and seconds have left due to not liking the coach.....and to me as an up n coming coch is something i wouldnt want happening anytime.......also they will struggle to field 4 sides due to these players leaving......due to this they wont be as strong as they have been in the last couple of years......now dont quote me on this but ive herd this from a very reliable source and i mean very..........

another 1 is bandit have herd you are playing elsewhere this season any truth to this?????

i am the big news breaker on this thread........

no just post what i hear around the traps i dont even know if its true......maybe you have herd something......?

steenhouse,ji dawson a few others have gone to ''darley'' if thats how you spell it.......steenhouse is coaching there......

im here to let every 1 know whats going on........it is a big story......the person who told me is flabbergasted with whats happened down their.......if it is true round 4 its gonna be on for young and old......bring it on......cause melton are frontrunners.........and it is well known when the heat is on they go to water.......

dont get me wrong but melton's cap/coach has done a great job over the years he has been there and they are id say the most powerful west group side in the last 5 years without reward.......and if you dont get the rewards you deserve people start to think......whats going on........

im no enemy weapons , i actually like your posts and the banter you and techno have. just a keen follower of local cricket. only so much we can handle on sheeds , yes we all know he's an absolute gun.

are you trying to hint that im from melton weapons?? i might well and truly be from melton and are just trying to play the bluff my friend, or maybe i am one of the '12' that have left.. we just never know do we...or maybe you have no idea where im from and are way off... anyway... ive never heard of steenhouse?? was he a good player??... i know a stonehouse that use to play for werribee and there is of course a steenholdt that i thought played for melton, maybe thats him, has he changed his name or something??? well the story i got back from the season launch is they have lost a few lower grade players to other competitions. i dont think there 1st 11 is much different to previous years so expect them to be strong again weapons

there are melton players on here and yer you are probably 1 of them.....i was wrong once but i was right about that......
i stand to be corrected it is steenholdt......they can be strong they probably will be but there would be a sence of doubt in their minds after failing the last couple of years.....and i will be letting them/you know all about it......

we all know that the premiership isnt won after the last game...and melton after beating us in the last game probably thought they would crap on altona which i thought they would have but melton's bowling department got found out with wolfey and g-mac getting amongst them....the final's series goes up another notch....pressure,expectations its a whole different ball game......the teams that win their players rise above the pressure and the expectations........and get the job done........

WELL WHAT A BIG WEEK ITS BEEN IN CRICKET.....LOL
some big stories, some bagging, and some spelling errors......slipper you idiot....
its gone a bit quiet so close to the season.......maybe the pre-game nerves are setting in........not for me confident the boys can get off to a great start if we get a run as the weather predictions arnt good for later in the week......
noble park second up.....we will see how we go......different team to last year with a bit more experiance should be good.....

well done weapons for pointing out the obvious mate, melton have made the finals and bombed out alot lately, all they can do is keep making them and keep having a crack and eventually it will work out for them and they will win one and you will be the first person they stick the flag right up your big fat ass.

here are some new players.........

sunshine have picked up 2 of my u/17 premiership players from 2 seasons ago.......not happy jan........they are kapelan kulendranathan(opening bowler)bowls some good heat for a 18 year old...david mazzone(allrounder)bats and bowls very well......now there is a couple of others armadeep singh a top order batsmen.....and marc mudford who has played at sunshine before who is another good young talent and bats very well........

all of them played at taylors lakes last year due to schooling committments but will be doning on the navy blue this year....the last 2 i dont know much about......the first 2 i do and wish them all the best.......still not happy about them playing there but all that will be put to rest when we play them on the reserve day......

youve herd it here first.....

last year's leaders for.........

runs per 100 balls........malvern.....62.29....
balls per wicket........williamstown.....37.30......

just a quick 1........noble park are pretty confident for saturday from what my sources were saying.......thats no dali lama's.....confidence is good......

what are the grounds like.........???....

yes good to get a start today........

off to a good start to the year with a win.......

noble park what a road........first up probably the best wicket we will get all year.......

willy won the toss and elected to bat.....

alot of starts should have made 220-230 being 1/95 after 17
first 5 overs there were 18 wides and really no pressure from the opposition...all up there were 28 wides.......the 2 boys were flaying them everywhere........others contributed and got a very competitive score on the board......

n/p all out 140 odd......

5 run outs which was amazing.........
but the highlight of the day was the 19 year old import for n/p.....made 84 when he went out score was 5/124 and that goes to show how good he was going........he also opened the bowling none fa 25 or so and bowled 12 wides..... and took 3 catches.......look out for this kid......although dropped 4 times and was involved in 3 of the runouts he is definately a player to watch.......if you want some info on him or them pm me.......

all in all we didnt play at our best and there is plenty of room for improvement.......2's winning as well as the mockinbirds a great start to the year for the club......

as they say winners are grinners
