Blake will be up there for the hatch medal but cant go past Sean Ayres.
400 runs and 35 wickets thats amazing. Blake with 200 runs and 43 wickets will be right up there. Dont discount Sheeds either as you know he is very consistant and might gain votes in nearly every game.

Any word from Piston or Bucket on your tips and you evaluations of the grand finals.
What a ripper it was on the north/south side bucket with Dale and Ayres doing it again.

hodges & clem were outstanding on the sunday, with shepard making runs at the right time of year.

my bet is blake for the medal, followed by beshara and ayres. wouldnt suprise me if there is a tie

if you think blake is quick wait until you face s.harwood. if rumor is correct he will be at melton next year. apparently the body is no good and can't go another year with the vics.

Re: subbies season 07/08

Thanks for the reports guysdue to football committments I couldn't get to either match on the 2nd day, from what I hear I missed the best days play for bloody years.Spent time betweenCaulfield and Box Hill on the Saturday, brilliant weather and huge crowds at both venues which brings me to my gripe;we must do something to prevent the cricket and football sesons running into each other,it's ridiculous, players, officials and spectators alike are being robbed of the chance of their involvement in both codes because of the programming.Any suggestions?,perhaps we could look at playing on Cup day and maybe Australia Day so we could finish earlier?
The championship final must be in some doubt with the weather forecast not looking too good but if we do play it should be a cracker with both sides winning unbelievingly thrilling semis and grannys to get there.
I'll go for Bops with their stronger batting to get the money, what does everyone else think?
Keep the rumours rolling in during the off season boys, have only heard the obvious ones so far,Harwood to Melton,Lewis to Bops,Pritchard to Sunshine.
Cheers.

Re: subbies season 07/08

lewis to bundoora would be interesting. thanking god i'm playing south next year and miss out on lewis/harwood. melton would miss pritchard he is easily their best player, although hardwood would be a handy replacement can hit the ball quite hard and we all know his bowling ability

looking forward to championship game this week will be a cracker. the 2 best opening bowling pairs in the comp of a.blake/s.blake & a.dale/s.ayres. A bit of rain around will see the result come down to the toss and first use of the ball. apart from the i see both teams with equal batting and bowling lineups. bundoora were smashed last year by BH but appear to have a much stronger lineup with the inclusion of ayres

Re: subbies season 07/08

Well, if you had of asked me 4 games ago who would win this game i would have said Box Hill, but now i'm not so sure.
i think Bops might just be hitting their straps at the right time of the season
Bennett and Cavigan making some, along with Hobba who finally got some to go along with Ayres and Dalemight score too many against possibly the best bowler in the comp in Blake( what a classic action). My only concern is lack of bowling for the Bops, perry and groom dont bowl much and if the tops 3 dont bowl the majority of their overs they might struggle
Bops just

Hatch medal
From your side Piston ,Sheedy,Bartlett and blake will all figure
N/s will be contestedfrom Pradeep,Craig ,Ayres and Beshara
Although Beshara might embarrass the comp to be the 1st person to win under suspension
Im told he got 2 weeks during the year, but might poll many 3s
Crystal ball tells me Beshara ,from pradeep craig and ayres

And on the rumours also heard about lewis ,but my mail was to noble then the next day to mt.
So keep the rumours rolling in boys

either way it will be a cracking game. very worried about the rain, looking outside my office now doesnt look good. not looking forward to facing ayres and dale on a wettie. but then i wouldnt want to be bundoora facing the 2 blakes and then the off spin of another blake

Im assuming Lewis is Mick Lewis from Melbourne.
Also Harwood is very much all rumour and it won't happen.
Pritchard and Wolfe however different stories.

Bundoora to win unless A.Blake pulls something very special out which he is very capable of.

Cheers.

Totally agreed with the codes clashing.
We should start a week earlier and then play on those dates you mentioned.
It was far to late this year.
