Each team has 3 games left. The game between South Africa and West Indies today is obviously huge. If the South Africans can win, they'll firmly re-establish themselves as being in the top half of the table. They could still be caught, but whichever team gets the 2 points today should be very happy.

New Zealand 4 4 0 0 8 +1.728
Australia 4 4 0 0 8 +1.510
Sri Lanka 4 3 1 0 6 +1.549
South Africa 4 2 2 0 4 -0.629
England 4 1 3 0 2 -0.062
West Indies 4 1 3 0 2 -1.177
Bangladesh 4 1 3 0 2 -1.775
Ireland 4 0 4 0 0 -1.385

At this time i can say the South Africans are very happy!

Re: Super Eights standings

in the Super Eights, it's just been the smae type of cricket:

Australia have been their usual outstanding
New Zealand have been outstanding too
Sri Lanka have been on fire
South Africa have been on fire at times, ordinary at others
England have been pathetic
West Indies have been looking old and tired
Bangladesh have played well, brought the odd upset, but have the odd shocker of a game
Ireland - well, we didn't expect them to dominate the world, they've been refreshing to watch, just haven't been good enough

we know the Top 4 now guys: let's get to the semi-finals

I guess with the exception of Bangladesh (with their upset wins) and Ireland (the unexpected in the super 8's) the others are very predictable eh.

Re: Super Eights standings

sadly, it's all very predictable

does anyone believe there is any thought into going back to knock-outs from the Quarter-Finals onwards?
