The BaggyGreens Thread

Josh aint quite ready for the WTC final so Neser is in and must play as our only current quick that is match fit and in form.

We also have Boland and whether or not he’s better suited than Neser, Boland is the incumbent so he’ll probably play.

I can see Boland being a menace on English pitches with his hard line and length. Should work well into aggressive batting too, frustrate them with balls they can’t consistently hit.

I had a problem watching 7 on the box, due to a control problem, so pleased I was able to watch it online on 7Plus. Doing a great job with sport in recent years, what a memorable Olympics coverage we had..

Bit annoying that I can’t watch the match on the adless platform I pay for.

Pretty good start by Aus though, shame Warner got out like that.

Fairly even at oranges 2-73 after Aussies sent in on a lively greentop. Ussie went cheaply and the much maligned Davey Warner on the stroke of lunch, poor shot when he should have shut up shop.

I’m not sure it was a bad shot, it was just one of those kinda just unfortunate dismissals. Great take by the keeper as well though.

I think this pitch and conditions are perfectly suited to our bowlers, bit of swing for Starc but not too much he can’t control it. Decent amount of seam and variable bounce that Cummins and Boland will be terrifying to face on.

Seemed that Marnus got all the difficult deliveries and Davey the easier ones, most of which he put away. There was definitely variable bounce with some spitting like a king cobra while others struggled to reach the keeper on the full.

Indian openers bowled well. Siraj the pick while Thakur provided some clever swing and seam from his medium pacers.

I hate watching Siraj bowl against us because he’s so class.

Umesh thought bowling short and wide to David was a good idea. Questionable.

Marnus misses a good full nut and is bowled. Not switched back on after the break..

India not bowling as well to the lefties. Too many freebies.

I was the opposite. I had 7Plus via the Chromecast and it crashed. Switched over to the normal tv and no trouble at all.

Wow talk about dining out on Indian fare after I went to bed at tea, with the maestro Smithy the immovable rock while Travis bazballed the bowlers all over the park to put us in a position to drive this match..
