The Lounge 2

I read his biggest beef was the "Islamification of Germany" under Angela Merkel. Jeez what ever complaint he has, dont take out your frustration on innocents enjoying Christs birthday. 😡
I read that, too. What a capital contradiction and distortion. With his deed he has contributed more to anti-Islamic sentiment in Germany than thousands of peace-loving immigrants have by crossing the border.😡

Thanks, mate. It was a psychiatrist from Saudi-Arabia living in Germany since 2006. He posted in the asocial media that Germany was putting Saudis at a disadvantage. Cynically, he used an emergency corridor to plough into the crowd killing five people and injuring more than 200. The refugees and immigrants cause more and more casualties and for a fair number of them, open society has always been alien to them. There's an increasing need now to watch Christmas markets or else they are doomed.
That was a terrible and tragic event Thomas. I could hardly believe what I heard about the psychos background and reasoning. An evil turd!
We've had similar in Australia and traffic stopping bollads have been put in vulnerable pedestrian areas.

What might his sentence be? A bit of Middle East justice with a blunt knife, or life in solitary confinement? I doubt he'd be safe in an open prison, which is perhaps a good alternative.
I'm sick and tired of bitter loonies venting by mass murdering innocents. May they burn in Hell.

It's so discouraging that again and again immigrants who are thought to be fully settled in and integrated like this guy who had a work permit after some time get radicalised and take "revenge" for something they don't agree with or consider unfair treatment.
Public sentiment is changing, though. Some years ago the identity of such culprits was not disclosed for a long time in an effort to protect them. This is different now.

"I want to kill as many Germans as I can" he wrote on social media. Why when Germany opened their doors to these refugees when many others closed them. The country which welcomed him and hundreds of thousands of others. Gave him a home, an identity and above all allowed him to continue practicing his chosen profession. Why???

He also said this. Too true.

"Strict Islamic upbringing is the cause of all the problems of Muslims, especially women."

I almost teared up when I read these words from the grief stricken mother of the only child killed. "My teddy bear is now flying free and will soon see his grand parents again as they have missed him so much"

Had a chuckle from this video, more than these Japanese people did. Yelling ha, ha, ha is NOT chortling.

In the year twenty twenty five, if man is still alive, .?
Sorry wrong date from that song. It should be 2525. The sentiment is still pertinent. It's 2025, so

Happy New Year to all. 😁 May yours be a good year to remember.

Man hugs for my two buddies.🤗 🤗

Yes may it be a spectacular year for us all.
A little worried about our female companion. She has been down in the dumps lately and not here with her friends.

I did not want this poignant image lost in the serious discussion thread.🥺

This visually beautiful image by Belal Khaled, taken in Rafah, Gaza, conveys a rare moment
of joy and hope as two children light lanterns for Ramadan, surrounded by the city of tents
in which they are now forced to live. They are among the lucky ones – more than 11,000
other children, just like these, have had their lives extinguished in Gaza during the past year. 🥹

You guys must be so busy post Jan 1.
Busy indeed for various reasons, the chief one being that my whole family is ill. They've either caught corona or some other tenacious bug which forces them to lie for two weeks in some cases. I'm the last one standing and don't know whether I'm coming or going.🏃‍♂️
It's winter and germs are all around us, clinics and practices being full with patients.🤒 You'll have to be patient. Enjoy the summer. We are having snow here for the first time this winter.

Good to see one of our gang is here Thomas. How is your new year going so far.

That is terrible mein freund. 😮 Keep warm and you and family have the corona jab only as a last resort, as my son tells me that more people died actually from the jab than not having one. Blame the multi national pharmas for their lies. They should be prosecuted.

PS: Imperative you have your annual flu shot.

Not much to tell apart from what I said. The new year is just four days old. Tomorrow normal business life will start again. People are waiting for winter to be over knowing that this will take at least two more months, the worst of the year.
Today's my MIL's birthday which she'll be spending alone since nobody can come and see her. The booking in a Greek restaurant for the whole gang had to be cancelled. We're now waiting for a day when we can meet.
Sorry to hear what your son told you about the Corona jabs. Mind you we have to be careful not to find ourselves in the anti-vaxer's camp. In preparation for her world tour my daughter will have been vaxed against six or seven dreadful diseases, against some of them for the second time and we can only hope her body will be able to cope with both the vaccines and the bugs she will be exposed to as of Feb. when her journey starts.
Since the pandemic we haven't had any jabs against flu or corona but, recently, the second one against pneumococci (now against 21 different ones) and I wouldn't have wanted to miss the jab. I had the worst experience with a flu jab in 1984 and have been refusing to get another one since. Got swine flu once and thought I'd be dying.

Sorry I've been away. I was busy over committing myself with tutoring my old mate R with his new A9+ tablet and setting it up for him.
Also doing a favour for a friend repainting her garden statuettes. Gnomes and creatures. I did one for my neighbour's disabled daughter. It's enjoyable learning and refining skills even as an amatuer.
Two works in progress

Figured this would provoke some sympathy from you guys as it did with me.
