The Lounge 2

Whilst away i was able to get myself #fullyvaxxed because i have a family full of loved ones that need to be protected from covid.
Happened to see my nephew this morning who was a bit on the shy side as he hasn't seen me for ages.

My eternal curse insomnia has plagued me ever since Bubbles injury as having to attend to his toilet runs at all hours has shot my sleep patterns and my body clock is now all over the place.
Ah bless. Does Bubbles sit near a door when he wants to go outside?
My dog used to do that, I had a sliding patio door at the time, the net curtain on the door got destroyed as I couldn't open it it quick enough for her, she'd just charge right through it 😆

Just had my cleaner in as i get one in once a week on medical reasons. (i can't actually do the cleaning myself anymore. )
My cat decided to hide from her.

The Greens in my country are harder leaning lefties than Labor. They used to be mainly tree hugging hippie types but that has changed.
It basically depends on your own position in the political spectrum. Over here, there's hardly anyone who doesn't want to be "centre" in order to appeal to as many people as possible. Our Conservative Party as well as the Liberals regard themselves as "centre" while they belong to the political right for others. Consequently, they regard any other party as "socialist", which is rubbish because the Greens have nothing to do with socialist ideology. A strict policy on decarbonization is not leftist or socialist but a matter of common sense.

Hi to all of you,:)

Life has been pretty hectic recently.
Had a car breakdown, the first one in my life. Luckily, the weather was fine, we found a safe place to wait for the towing service which arrived an hour later. We took a taxi home then. It'll take ten week before we get the refund of the costs. The car was taken to our repair shop and we could pick it up two days later. One week before the breakdown we'd had the car serviced for $500 and now we had to pay another $400 for the clutch cable.
That's the one that let me down:

Then I fell down while jogging and bruised myself on the face and body but didn't fracture anything.

Yesterday when I was taking Sari for a walk with her being without leash, all of a sudden a buffalo was rushing towards us only stopping at a fence which I thought was a joke anyway. Too late for Sari, though, who bolted and couldn't be stopped. She ran all the way back to our home which must have been two miles. When we finally arrived home she was sitting in front of the gate barking to be let in. Stupid because we could never have been faster than her because we spent time on that spot calling her name hoping she'd show up before we finally went back home but tell that to a dog.
The biggest miracle and relief was that she didn't cause an accident with all those speeding cyclists, inline skaters on that narrow trail, and also cars nearer our home. I don't want to imagine what could have happened. People might have ended up in a wheel-chair because of her with us having to pay for them for the rest of their life. I do thank my lucky stars.
That's the one that almost caused us a lot of real trouble scaring us all to death. Just look at the fence. It really is beyond me why it can make him stop but it did.

We are enjoying some lovely days of Indian Summer that is setting in. I love that season. Do you?
Please meet my wife Katy. We went to the beach today.

Spent the weekend watching the women's test cricket.
Wow not bad.

Then spent the rest of it getting used to daylight savings time.
It's that time of year where your body clock has to get used to time difference.
I'd love it if Daylight savings was taken away.

So did I. Sorry mate the Test was a tedious bat fest spoilt by the stormy weather. DS makes me wait an hour longer for the cricket.

As I now have no one with which to talk cricket I will post something here. Jessica I expect you have heard of the cricket Ashes between England and Australia. Thomas it is series of cricket matches played between our two nations every two years for a tiny urn we call the Ashes. Back in the late 19th cent two wicket bails were burned and the ashes placed in the urn... and the Ashes was born. The Ashes has since become cricket's most iconic Test cricket series.

Well this December's Ashes in OZ is in danger of being cancelled due to this dreaded Covid. The Poms are having a whine about our quarantine procedures after they arrive here in early late November. They have no reason to complain as our cricket bosses have bent over backwards to accommodate their wishes. The players will now spent the two week quarantine in a four star luxury Gold Coast, Qld resort. Wives/partners have been allowed to join them plus the players will be permitted to leave the resort to train. Yet the ECB and some senior players are still not happy. I think the only time the Ashes has been cancelled was during WW2.
