Hi all
Last week I was a guest on the Good Seats Still Available podcast, a show that focuses on defunct pro teams and leagues in the U.S.
With Major League Cricket on the horizon, the show focused on the first attempt at pro T20 here: Pro Cricket of 2004
Along the way, we talk about the sport’s surprisingly deep roots here…and the challenges MLC faces
Warning: because the pod is primarily heard in America, and cricket is foreign to most Americans, I spend a lot of time “Americanizing” certain things, like referring to 6s as “home runs,” bowls as “pitches,” etc. Hopefully that doesn’t get too distracting for the more sophisticated listener
Also…a bit of a spoonerism with my reference to “G.W.” Grace. Oof
Otherwise, though, I hope you’ll enjoy
