Rose/O'Shea? Wouldn't be a difficult choice I would of thought.

Don't think you need two spinners in the side, usually only one makes it and Bryce is the obvious choice this year.
Need more than two quicks which opens the door for Mueller to be selected for the second year running.
Pilon surely has to be the keeper, most dismissals by a mile and a solid year with the bat.
Would like to see Mash picked in the middle order as captain after another consistent year.
Also 12 players are picked in the team of the year, not 11.
James Miller from Frankston should be in as the all-rounder with 30+ wickets and 250 runs. Can bat at 8 behind Pilon at 7.

Here's my tips for the weekend.

St Kilda to knock off Frankston. Rummans and Mueller with too much class.
Melbourne to beat Geelong. Melbourne's batting is too strong and they always turn it up a notch in March.
Carlton to beat Prahran. Carlton's bowling should get them over the line.
Casey to beat Dandenong. (Assuming Herrick, Wright and Trego play)

Don't spray me on Monday if I'm wrong unless you posted your tips here before Saturday!
 
And then there were eight. After all the issues and interrupted playing days we are now down to the top eight teams to contest this season's Victorian Premier Cricket Finals. And some interesting clashes that have been thrown up. Let's keep our fingers crossed that the weather doesn't interfere and we get two full days of play.

Expect the Demons to reverse last rounds hiding after plenty of soul-searching at The Albert. Danger Man: Kent

Carlton vs. Prahran

This will be a lot tighter than many expect and am going for the upset here. Danger Man: McGain

Correct! heard a few reports of his on and off field DIVA-ing push a couple too many buttons. Good talent, but for a tubby kid averaging mid 20's???? needs someone to take him under their wing, after a fair clip round the ear

An interesting makeup of teams for the semi finals of Cricket Victoria's premier Cricket Semi Finals. Two teams are yet to win the ultimate, one hasn't won for over three decades and one, who won a couple of seasons ago has been inconsistent during the season. It makes for an intriguing weekend of cricket with some possible history to be written come Sunday afternoon.

What can we say but it is amazing that teams that finished 5th and 8th are playing off in the Final. Both teams have put up great performances away from home in the past 2 weekends to make to the Final. Peter Siddle may comeback into the Dandenong side for the Final and will go in as slight favorites. Other players to look out for are the Pattinson brothers for Dandenong. Jon Holland,Nick Jewell and Luke Walker(AFL Goal Umpire who is doing to Geel vs StK game on Fri Night at the G) for Frankston Peninsula.

Path to the Final
Dandenong: Finished 5th 44pts. Defeated Casey SM(4th) at Casey Fields in QF, Defeated Carlton(2nd) at Princes Park in SF.
Frankston Peninsula: Finished 8th 40pts(made finals by 0.01% from Fitzroy Doncaster), Defeated St Kilda(1st) at Junction Oval in QF, Defeated Geelong(2nd) at Geelong in SF.
Both clubs are appearing in their 2nd 1st XI Final. Frankston Peninsula losing to St Kilda at the Albert Ground in 2002/03. Dandenong defeated St Kilda at Junction Oval in 2006/07.
