I agree with most of those selections, but Jones? Taken 20 wickets and half of them were in the 20/20. I will have a go:
Kent
Handscomb
Doropoulos
Hill
Trego
Schlittler
Loorham
Rose/O'Shea: coinflip between the two
McGain
Carson
Austin
Thoughts?
Rose/O'Shea? Wouldn't be a difficult choice I would of thought.

Bird? Flying pretty high with 10 other blokes hanging from his clawsDon't think you need two spinners in the side, usually only one makes it and Bryce is the obvious choice this year.
Need more than two quicks which opens the door for Mueller to be selected for the second year running.
Pilon surely has to be the keeper, most dismissals by a mile and a solid year with the bat.
Would like to see Mash picked in the middle order as captain after another consistent year.
Also 12 players are picked in the team of the year, not 11.
James Miller from Frankston should be in as the all-rounder with 30+ wickets and 250 runs. Can bat at 8 behind Pilon at 7.

Hawks Coach an early victim of the 10/11 season relieved of his post before finals even over. Very swift justice.
And then there were eight. After all the issues and interrupted playing days we are now down to the top eight teams to contest this season's Victorian Premier Cricket Finals. And some interesting clashes that have been thrown up. Let's keep our fingers crossed that the weather doesn't interfere and we get two full days of play.
Premier Cricket. Quarter Finals. Sat 12th & Sun 13th. 2-Dayer. Selections Bolded.
St Kilda vs. Frankston Peninsula
Rd.14 St Kilda 286 (Quiney 68, Groves 4/40) def Frankston Peninsula 168 (Miller 30, Forbes 3/34)
The Saints look too strong here with good all-round strength. Danger Man: Handscombe (How the True Blues rue the one that got away !)
Geelong vs. Melbourne
Rd.17 Geelong 6/126 dec (Butterworth 39, Dale 3/26) and 3/113 (Harrison 51, Smith 1/16) def Melbourne 57 (Ryan 14, Hart 6/15) and 181 (Dart 53, Muller 4/31)
Expect the Demons to reverse last rounds hiding after plenty of soul-searching at The Albert. Danger Man: Kent
Carlton vs. Prahran
Rd.04 Carlton 2/120 (Gulbis 55no, Wild 1/14) def Prahran 114 (Schlittler 54, Austin 3/27)
This will be a lot tighter than many expect and am going for the upset here. Danger Man: McGain
Casey South Melbourne vs. Dandenong
Rd.01 Dandenong 9/185 cc (Thomas 49, Trego 3/49) def Casey South Melbourne 143 (Herrick 40, Nanopoulos 4/30)
The Swans are more consistent at the moment and should get across the line. Danger Man: Wright
Correct! heard a few reports of his on and off field DIVA-ing push a couple too many buttons. Good talent, but for a tubby kid averaging mid 20's???? needs someone to take him under their wing, after a fair clip round the earRumour is that Dale Tormey was asked to leave too!
