Just did a ring around to fellow Publicans regarding Mad Monday drinks and some interesting comments and phone calls were made.
At the Keilor pub-The captain rang looking for the Biggest Ice Buckets he had so he could hire them for weekend to strap on to their keepers hands.
At Waterloo-Avondale were in discussions with Sth Caulfield and Hoppers X about a Tri series two see who really is the Biggest Chokers in semis.
And the VTCA match commitee were still trying to work out who will umpire this years grand final when last drinks were called,stay tuned or stay sober?

Perhaps Jimmy Leys might make a comeback to umpiring, is a GF specialist. Was officiating the Kratz incident, and apparently started booking random players for trumped up things in a lower grade GF last year.

Perhaps Jimmy Leys might make a comeback to umpiring, is a GF specialist. Was officiating the Kratz incident, and apparently started booking random players for trumped up things in a lower grade GF last year.

Douttas V Keilor should be a very good game,even though D.S. smacked them up there a while back of which D.S. had a very good game and KCC had a bad day so i guess the scre didnt really reflect how evenly matched the two sides are.

Things have changed since then as Keilor have just been getting better and better and it would seem they have peeked nicely for the finals and are a definate chance to win the G.F. As both sides have tremendous depth im sure selection will be interesting this week as i know at D.S. there are about 13 or 14 in the mix and an injury or two ;)

Anyway im biased so ill pick Douttas to win as KCC smacked them in the semi last season so could be a sweet vengeance,well i hope so :D

just on the lamb incident. we heard that he abused the square leg umpire (who was a 15 year old chelt player) then when told by his teammates that he had overstepped the line, refused to apologise. he was a toss when he played them and it seems it wasnt a one off.

yeh the appeals tonight...he shouldn't have played last week either so Beena could have arked up and put in a report

The VTCA penalty guidelines are a complete joke. Finals don't count in your penalty. If you are given a 6 game ban in round 8 and your team makes the Grand Final, you can't play in round 9-11, and rounds 1-3 the following season, despite your club having played 8 games during your 6 game ban.

The VTCA penalty guidelines are a complete joke. Finals don't count in your penalty. If you are given a 6 game ban in round 8 and your team makes the Grand Final, you can't play in round 9-11, and rounds 1-3 the following season, despite your club having played 8 games during your 6 game ban.

surely finals are the only thing that matter!!1

i heard he got reported for grabbing yung square leg umpire from cheltenham and then refusd to apoligize...

apparantly he got 2 matches but the appeal is tonight...

so even if his appeal doesnt cut his 2 match suspension to 0 he still plays in the granny????

Thats his specialty. VTCA never actually revealed on the website under what rule the spotty boys were suspended. Suspicions are that it was a new rule introducted specifically for that game, Rule 69d - "Stealing the umpires parking spot prior to commencement of game"

Thats his specialty. VTCA never actually revealed on the website under what rule the spotty boys were suspended. Suspicions are that it was a new rule introducted specifically for that game, Rule 69d - "Stealing the umpires parking spot prior to commencement of game"
