Abers, I wish you all the success you deserve and if the club has put the correct measures in place to move forward the club can only benefit from it. I know the preseason has taken on a new look and has been far more professional in it's organisation. I guess the club has been a life line to remain in A1 it's now up to the playing group to grab that opportunity. Who have been the new faces so far this preseason?

Could fall asleep listening to north a and north b rubbish. Anyone got some news on the senior divs? My boys are looking red hot to tear apart maccabi in round 1, training the house down.

In senior A1 thats only one grade above and on the south side that equals things does'nt it north is alot stronger side you guys dont even have a home ground do you?

I think a top 4 senior a side has a bottom placed north side covered champ. By christmas we'll have the best ground in the comp. And the gf teams from south a for the past couple of years would well have their north a counterparts beaten. Evident last year when we went up with willy and thumped them.

Now now North A and B is not rubbish, everybody has to start somewhere, e.g Greenvale been playing North B since playing in VTCA, now are in North A and I have no doubt will be in senior divison in the couple of years.

Having been a keen watcher of all grades of the VTCA have they lost their marbles! Kingsville Baps have fled the scene leaving a hole in the fixture which has now been filled by H/Crossing third XI. It basically says stuff you Jack to the other sides, how can you have thirds playing a club's 1st XI. The couple of bowlers might hurt some poor bloke from HC and then where will the whole thing be. It just doesn't make sense

this is no fun. we at youlden had the same thing happen to us in the 96/97 season in north b1. reason being the 1s & 2s played off in the grand finals in 95/96 so the vtca thought it would be a good thing & promote all 3 teams!! it wasnt a good feeling being caned by 200 runs or 10 wickets every round by far superior opposition although we did manage to win 2 games!! sanity prevailed for season 97/98 & we were put back into north d1.

you can't se serious!! That's an absolute Joke. Hoppers 3's in Nth b1..doesn't say much about the standard of cricket being played in B1 if a 3X1 is in there & what does it tell you about VTCA comp as a whole?
Also if rumors of 4 sides being relegated from A1 are correct Then this ought to be a massive incentive for all A1 clubs to stay outta bottom 4, if NOT they may have to front up against Doutta U16's or even Yarraville over 50's next year

Did you miss me Dizz? Yes i have been away doing some warm weather training up in Darwin in preparation for the new season .Im even leaner than normal and my famous bouncer is ready to tear up the competition this year.

Yeah I can't believe it. I don't know how they will police Hoppers 2's and 3's as they could just qualify 20 odd guys for both comps.
The draw is also quite biased as each team plays each other twice, but that all happens before Xmas and then after Xmas. So you could play a team that starts the year off slowly and smash em twice b4 Xmas but then they come good after Xmas and other teams have to deal with them twice after Xmas.
North B has gone back to the old days. The last couple of years, the standard had lifted considerably but this could make it a joke!

i doubt i'm the only one that missed you. what's the deal? don't they have the internet up in darwin? i'm sure you would have logged on to keep up with all the ins, outs and other general goss regarding all things VTCA.

Unfortunately the shearing station where i was based had no access to the internet but im fit and ready to go.
