I guess we all knew what you were saying Dirk Kuyt. However this thread is for ways to improve BigCricket only, if those suggestions of yours stick then we might not want your input at all.

I'm just trying to sort out a way to keep the news on the front but without a new thread being created.

Failing that, we're looking at filling the space on the right hand rail of the home page with something 'interesting'.

English Newsbot has already been turned off.

Try putting it on do not subscribe. That way you won't have any problems with getting so many emails.

Ban all the news bots altogether. They are nothing but annoying and plus they stop us from posting up articles.

Often we get server busy messages here and elsewhere. You only have to look at bigfooty and bigsoccer that have a membership that only costs $15au a year. And because this and the other sites are world wide a membership would be a great idea.
With the one on bigfooty you don't get to see any server busy messages. IT's the same on bigsoccer.

We get the occasional server busy message but that is down to other sites on our server. Membership isn't going to stop that.

However, if you want to pay to use the site, I'm not going to stop you!
