West Indies In Australia

Another abysmal start from the WI at 5 for 56..

That Maxwell review was funny, didn't really look out at first glance live.

So Australia still end up winning reasonably comfortably despite the WI recovering to post a score, pretty dull game really apart from Pollard's ton. Voges gets to stay in the team for the final match with Maxwell departing for India, Finch would want to finally do something big after again wasting an opportunity playing for Australia today.

I would prefer Shaun Marsh be in the ODI team instead of Adam Voges. Voges has been inform for Western Australia but he hasn't shown anything with the bat when playing for Australia. Shaun Marsh is a more attacking batsman who I think would score more runs.

Ben Cutting bowled well against the West Indies. Players who are getting call ups for Australia are mostly playing well and taking their chances. (Jackson Bird and James Faulkner)

Aaron Finch must be frustrated at not being able to go on from his starts and make a good score. The selectors are giving him lots of chances.

Hopefully Australia can complete a clean sweep of the series tomorrow.

Yeah but might go for a swim later with it being 40 degrees..

Finch falls for 1 caught on the rope, surely that his Australian career done for a while.

A good fight back from the Australians after losing Shane Watson for a first ball duck and Aaron Finch for only 1 run. Phil Hughes 29 and Shaun Marsh 40 put together a solid partnership. Adam Voges made his first 100 for Australia with 112 not out. I was critical of his selection in the team but he batted very well and played attacking shots when needed. Brad Haddin did his job making 43 runs in entertaining fashion. James Faulkner batted well with Adam Voges making 31 runs not out, finding the boundary when needed. I think he should be rated as a genuine all rounder not just a bowling all rounder. His batting is solid and we are yet to see him unleash with some huge shots that he has showed when playing for Tasmania.

274 runs is more than enough for Australia to defend.

Mitchell Johnson picks up the wicket of Powell!

Very good innings from Voges, took his opportunity and has given the selectors something to think about. West Indies plugging along quite nicely in the run chase, would be favourites at this stage.

*edit much needed for Australia wicket now.

The DRS is used incorrectly once again. The edge showed up on Hotspot and you could hear the noise. There have been less certain decisions then that given out before. It hurts the game when this happens.

James Faulkner takes a ripping catch down low. Great piece of fielding. Important wicket for the Australians.

How unlucky can you be? James Faulkner gets a catch dropped off his bowling and then gets Charles out LBW but it is reversed by a questionable review decision. That is two DRS decisions that have gone against the Australians. It looks like Charles will use his luck to go on and make a 100.

Australia edge in front now, good to see Pollard batting sensibly again like the other night, he's obviously the key to the match now.

So Australia get over the line.

The WI now haven't beaten Australia in One Day match over here since January 1997

Nice to see Australia pull off a clean sweep. The Australian ODI team looks a lot stronger then it did against Sri Lanka. Shane Watson did well filling in the role as captain for Michael Clarke.

A one off Twenty20 against the West Indies will finish off the Australian summer. I will miss watching cricket on tv. :(

Apart from Finch failing once again Australia of to a good start with the 2 WA batsmen chasing the WI's huge total of 191.
