Bowden,

When you started your threads you showed a maturity and unbias that was to be admired by most.

When this crap with the dug out wicket started, you have done nothing but stir up the pot, and try to get St Andrews out of the poo. You have constantly defended the Saints, yet maligned Willy Congs, Roosters and Melton.

This statement by you is pure innuendo, and made by a sh1t stirrer like yourself. Don't prattle on and say you are an independant when you clearly are not. Mick Callus is the only person I can definitely say is telling the truth as to what is going on, he was there on the night. Did not see you there. Your recent diatribe is full of crap not facts.

If you want to get your credibility back, stop saying Gooky told me this or I heard from ????

It is clear where your bias is, and to give us crap that you don't take it out on the field is bulldust.

Try and get your credibility back you cretin.

Don't care who wins the final, the vandals won in the end.

Botch.

All I have done all along is defend St Andrews from weak pricks who get on this forum and hide behined a fake name and accuse them of digging the pitches up. I will defend any club that is wrongly accused of actions that are unproven whether it be St Andrews, Roosters, Congs or Caroline Springs. I have been involved with this comp for 22 years and have been able to acossociate with many great clubs and people. I have seen first hand the tireless hard work club committees put in and because of this there is no way known would a club organise for these actions to occur. I actually care about this Association and don't like to see any club or individual being wrongly accused of any wrong doing so I will continue to speak out when guttless people make unproven accusations. In regards to whether the semi finals should have been replayed well go and read post #1553 on page 156 and you will get my answer.

As for what I was told by Gooky about Melton and St Andrews not wanting to replay the semi finals, well that is what he told me and Tubbsy while we were sitting at the table in your clubrooms last saturday at lunch time. So If the most senior executive committee member of this comp who has been involved in all the meetings and spoken to all the clubs tells you something, you would take him on his word wouln't you. Also the Vice President of the assocaition who was also involved in all the meetings has told me the exact same thing as Gooky told me.

As for the ridiculous comment "It is clear where your bias is, and to give us crap that you don't take it out on the field is bulldust". well I would love you to let me know when I was biased against your club while I was umpiring. I think I will be waiting for a long, long time for an answer. With a stupid comment like the one above, I think the only uncredible person here is you BOTCH.

Sorry that last post should have been signed Darren Wainwright. President of the Altona Roosters Cricket Club.

Darren
I am not sure if you picked up on who I am but the events of the last few weeks have been really sad!!! We played at Totty together when we were kids, I'd play my first year in a certain age with Raoul and then the 2nd year with you. We used to play in Melon Street during summer and I even remember your brother (Birt) 'branding my brother' (Adam) from about 3 feet away, with a wet tennis ball for no apparent reason! :p I was in the same class at primary school with ya brother Raoul. As I stated at the start of this blog, it really is sad what's happening. But what I want to make clear is that, I do not believe anyone from my club would do such a thing. I know the rest of the world thinks someone from here did it, but I don't. But anyway that's not what this blog is about. It's about "friendships". I hope that all the people I have met and become friends with over the yaers remain just that - friends. I know the club is contemplating moving comps next year - in fact several clubs are - but me, personally, well I may never play the game again - not because I am too old - in fact I think I am still improving as a player and I'm nearly 40 - but because to me CRICKET was the greatest game on earth and no matter what happened on the field, it usually stayed there. You could abuse a batsman - even bag his mum - yet the beer always tasted better after a battle like that. You could tell a bowler how well he was travelling and that maybe he should have a go from both ends and still after the days play you could have a drink with the enemy because the battle was paused until next week. You could give a batsman a send off and then buy him a drink after the game and explain with the same old lame (but usually legitimate) excuse 'sorry mate I was fired up, it was in the heat of the moment'. That rule seems to be out the window now and quite frankly I have had a gutfull. So Darren I hope the next time I bump into you in the street or at a game of cricket or where ever for that matter, I hope that you will still look me in the eye and say g'day as I will to you. Cricket is the loser in all of this!!!!!!!!!

wat special exceptions hav been made? there has always been a reserve day for the grand final and as there was no play last saturday, the reserve day comes into effect. I dont really know wat ur on about. rumour is that the curator at angliss isnt the usual curator. is this true?

you have a bit quiet StAndrewsman where have you been mate?

yes it is true that me and my brother aren't doing the wicket for the gf... why would we want to put in all the hard work during the week then to get dug up again.. i have better things to do with my time then prepare a wicket which st.andrews will dig up if they are behind going into the 2nd day anyway

Grant here, can't speak for Darren but from my point of view none of this has ever been personal and I will shake your hand next time I see you no worries at all. The same goes for anyone from St Andrews that I know. Think about it over winter and you'll be back, take it from me you're a long time out of the game once you go!! :)

Without your wisdom its bound to fold!

!st of all my lame excuse- i have 3 young kids, i train 2 days a week and ontop of that - probaly one of the things im proudest about is that myself and my wife are running our juniors, with help from a select few. our juniors in the space of 3 sesons, not having any teams- death of a club from my point of view, are now up to 3 teams and over 40 kids, AND GROWING! so after 5days a week at my club which i love- excuse me for not putting my hand up

oh.... and forgot 1 thing- my care factor for this comp is absolutly zero. the only way this comp (turf in wsucca) could survive in my point of view, would be the immdeate resignation of all exec. by then the horse would have bolted and the clubs gone. we- roosters, have a meeting very soon, no way in the world would i vote to stay in the comp- under the current leadership i wouldnt let them organise a game of snakes and ladders

Ah Ha! You're a ROOSTER..that explains everything....Enough said!

I have been asked to pass a message on to you. It's from B.Shearson - Baz to his mates - you know the guy you named as the perpetrator of the the destruction of pitches - or to put it another way, the innocent bloke that you slandered!!! Basically he siad to say he doesn't like his name being dragged through the mud when he has done nothing wrong!!! He wasn't even the person who said what you accused him of saying. On a side note it was also pointed out to me that you had no problem naming others on this site, yet we don't know who you are!!! So if you want to name or accuse people, maybe you should also say who you are - (don't hide behind a user name).:confused:

serious chump, you got no idea do you? to start with, you ask people to give their name but you hide under a fake name aswell. hypocrit. i dont have a problem naming names, i'll name who you are too, WOG! yes thats right, i know who you are MARK GAFFIERO. your so called mates dont mind giveing you up so watch who you defend. :p also you say that it wasn't "baz" who said what was said. well now that we all agree it was said, why dont you tell us who said it. that might help poor baz "not get his name dragged through the mud" and maybe reveal who our handy gardener/s are. i stand by what i said anyway, you wouldn't make comments like that if you wernt thinking about doing it!

Hey Mick get your head out of your ass will you.

It is the association job to make the dcision not the clubs. What Gooky has stated is exactly what has been told to a number of people therefore if you are saying that it is not true is Gooky a liar is that what you are saying?

Also have a listen to yourself will you i quote "I too have discussed this with my peers and members of the exec committee and they agree with me that it is a conflict of interest" who died and made you in charge of the comp? this is a public forum and anyone is allowed to say what they want on this no matter ther position mate.

I will agree with you on one thing though it is not your over rate you need to work on more your running between wickets Mick. Remember the Semi Mick when you burnt two of your batting partners by not taking the easy single so you didnt have to face draper the next over? now there the facts.

hey knob jockey, you are a joke!!! "it is the associations job to make the decision bla bla bla blaaa". when it suits your club you side with the association, but if things dont go your way you start crying. "oh our supporters cant drink at games, this wicket was crap, we are going to the vtca, the out field was shit and we didn't have a choice, they made us go straight to the gf". what a load of crap! then you have a go at mick for saying something and finish off with "this is a public forum and anyone is allowed to say what they want to". yes, just what mick was doing you double standard pathetic excuse for a human being. practice what you preach you speed hump! the truth to the matter is, your club are weak, pea hearted, pathetic scumbags who will do anything to try and win a premiership. ST ANDREWS ARE THE ONLY CLUB TO HAVE PLAYED IN THE TURF GRADE EVERY YEAR WHO HAVE NOT YET WON A PREMIERSHIP IN THAT GRADE. i think that explains everything.

First of all I didn't agree and secondly I don't know who said it, or if it was even said. All I know is Baz said he didn't and if Baz ays he didn't then I believe him. As far as hiding my identity - well that's not true - refer to earlier posts I have left recently - I know I never came out and said my name but I spoke of the past which would have let anyone know who I am just by the events that I have mentioned. I don't need to hide behind a user name - YES I am the WOG - well done by the way, you spelt my name right!!!. But that's not the point, the point is there are people on this site that are anonymous and that's fine. But if that's what you want to be then don't name or accuse others with out any proof. End of the day what's happened has happened and there are a lot of innocent people being accused of things that they wouldn't even think of let alone do!!! By the way you still didn't say who you are........ And finally, I think it's time to move on fellas........ Most people have had their say/opinion and it's quite clear where everyone stands.................... So I say it's time to build a bridge and get over it................
