the best shot to play is down the ground.....all the top quality batsman play cover drive,straight drive and on drive very well....i like them too....i dont like the cut shot because it always goes in the air and i get out frequently

Shots that get me runs
On-drive for me. Mostly there are hardly any fielders there so it is open, even if the ball accidentally goes in the air.

On-drive when played well can bring loads of runs, as you say, but for me, cover drive!

It is not that difficult to penetrate the fielders. It all rests on timing. Timing is the key.

But is risk a part of Cricket which some people want to eliminate? Is that a good thing? I don't think so, i go by brute force, then positioning, depending on mood and match situation.

i love the cover drive, as most of my runs come through drives into and through the covers. that and the cut shot
