Re: Who replaces Hayden?

Warner tries to smash every ball straight down the V, pretty obvious he would get worked out quickly. Send him back to NSW to learn the game.

Give the guy a shot lower in the order, if it doesn't work, then send him back to state cricket.

Agree Kram81. His first game was impressive but it only took the South Africans that one game to come up with a plan to get him out. Still very immature and his lack of first class cricket is showing.

Re: Who replaces Hayden?

But it is not ability that is letting him down, its game sense and temperament.

He showed that he has the strokeplay to score runs on the big stage, but he lacks game sense and his temperament is appauling!

Send him back to state cricket, give him some domestic OD's and see how he goes.

Re: Who replaces Hayden?

Warner's problem is paitence, bowl enough good balls at him you will get him out. He doesn's seem to hit himself in with, blocks and short punches. He's all or nothing. He doesn't pick out the hitable/bad deliverys so well especially early on. Honestly he doesn't looke like an opener, more of a 4 or 5.

This is how I would use warner. Have him coming in at 4, give him a few overs to get in and then bring on the batting powerplay. Have him against an older ball and non-opening bowlers.

P.S. I did hear Michael Slater say Hughes WILL replace Hayden in South Africa, good to hear.
