City of Moorabbin Cricket Association 2010/11

I wish them luck in trying to persuade Streker and Dale down to Victory Park.
Both had agreed to join Omega this season, but for them to do a complete turnaround and sign up with McKinnon after we'd helped them off field with employment and living arrangements.
Two very Ordinary Blokes...

They certainly didn't help the Richmond of the VTCA improve

Burger, hate to say it, but you're starting to sound like the new Brett.

I agree Shoog, but our friend in disguise had started the verbal at me personally... Am i not able to fire back, hard to do so when i am shooting into fog, with a blindfold on!!

PS- i hear you may have more than 1 alias ??

BCF has only one person representing Adam Kain... I've got enough on my plate than to worry about trolling websites.

Longy - Union (why not?)
Wooly - Washups (back where they belong)
Quniey - Uniting (too much depth)
D Grade - Omega (the Lebanese flag can stay at home)
E Grade - Uniting (depth again)
F Grade - Elwood (free drinks at the Lounge)
G Grade - Mackie (entitled to something)
H Grade - Washups (join in the celebrations)
I Grade - Heath (strong club)

Longy - Uniting (Deserve it)
Wooly - Washups (I have never gotten over dropping Lockhart when he was on 0 six years ago, only for him to go and make 140 odd)
Quniey - Uniting (too much depth you'd think)
D Grade - Omega (I hope they win one flag)
E Grade - Uniting (again, too much depth)
F Grade - Elwood (first flag in 8 years! Party at the beach! -- hopefully)
G Grade - Mackie (hope they win a flag here)
H Grade - East Sandy (be strange if East Sandy didn't win a flag somewhere)
I Grade - Heath (why not!)

last 2 weeks. im an east sandy fan, but will try not to be biased here..

bottsy actually appears to have problems with his vision, in the prelim he gave the bloke out (run out) when he was in by about a metre and a half, no1 from elwood even appealed! the game was already over but hell...
lbw decisions were shockers both ways, one bloke smashed the cover off one and was on his way. Ross just doesnt stick his finger up, even if back on the crease hitting halfway up (which will sound familiar to some)

But what was FFFFFFFAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRR worse was the fact that the umpires made no reasonable attempt to get the game going on the weekend when the rain stopped. The rain stopped 3 times during the hour, in which event the umpys were inside doing god knows what. on one occasion they walked out to inspect the pitch but took so long that by the time they had organised things the rain began to drizzle again, meaning play couldnt start. i know that they are both getting on in years, but it was a joke how slowly they walked to and from the pitch to inspect it (3 times in that hour, even though it was in immaculate condition, why did they need to take 10 mins to inspect the thing again!!?? its just grass out there.. it hasnt changed!!!!).

WHY DIDNT THEY WALK WITH SOME URGENCY???? WOULDNT YOU EXPECT UMPIRES TO WANT TO HAVE PLAY RESUME!!!!??? ISNT IT THEIR JOB!!!??? was very frustrating!!

not that the result was a foregone conclusion, but its unfortunate that the players were not able to play off to have another crack at the top prize this week, when i think that the game could have quite easily been played if the umpies wanted it to be

On a different note, congrats to Bottsy (Snr) & Rosco 'Santa' for getting the longy final, from games i've seen this year they deserve the top job after having a good year..

& Bottsy I'm not counting that decision in the 'flood relief' game on LD im sure that was in jest, & it worked out well as he entertained the crowd with some big hits after his life..

Again good luck to all on sat... Commeth the man commenth hour, watch out for the (original) Champ!!

sorry, i was replying to the above post in my previous post. not sure what went wrong

Burgermeister,

You really don't know what you are dealing with, and you are paranoid into the bargain.

Let me state once again you are obviously well off the scent one again as you state you know 90% of the posters well I fall into the 10% category and just like your beloved Buddy Bighead there is only one Merl.Again as previously stated I have trouble turning on the computer let alone having mulitple aliases ( spelling? )

As you are not prepared to put up or shut maybe you could provide my list of BCF aliases for a start.

Again I give you the vital tip look out for the blood hound trial on the weekend which will surely led you to unmasking Merl that you crave so much for.

I will be back later with the all important tips and despite Hiliary's fixture I see the Huey sending down a bit of wet stuff which will greatly favour the higher placed side not the incorrectly first named side in some cases.

Evening All,

Good luck to all teams and all tipsters in the Big Dances on the weekend.

Merl's half Bottle preview

Longy

The Bills to finish off a great season as Premiers and Champions with either the child or Ash Russell to take home Harry.Fancy a timepiece thimble water vessel supporter whinging about umpires when they have manipulated and had them and the weather on side for ,many many years!!!!! Where are you Big Mossie not in the appointments I see and your fan is very very silent!!!

Bluff Rd Cup with no Bluff Rd sides competing

Merl's own Chelsea Hts with the Bradley and Neil father and son combination leading them to a well deserved victory over the Sponge Bobs who have rebounded well but will come up short against the Heighters.

Bobby Dazzler

The Bills to get more return on their huge investment and a shout out to Merl's favourite score putter upper John Haliday who I believe is another part of the growing Merl Army assembling out there!!

D Grade

Omega to make up for a dismal season for both the club and Vinnie's tipping by dismantling the already dismantled Pretenders

E Grade

I agree with the mentalist,Sugar and others that the Bills can't afford to loose and miss out on the party with Moet,Caviar etc also the Big Boys from Mackie should grateful that the BBQ's in their game unlike their Longy counterparts were happy to play in water polo like conditions that certainly did no favours to the Shamrockers!!!

F Grade

As much as it breaks my heart but Merl has to go with the Bricker Boys over his beloved Beach Boys as they haven't put a foot wrong and a unique blend of youth and experience will get them home

G Grade

The Bills in a canter to bring up the quaddie and make Bucks Gay oops happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

H Grade

Donuts and Twiggy to beat the Timepiece Thimble Water Vessels on their own and give the Sponge Bobs sopmething to celebrate after the above two losses.

I Grade

I just have a gut feeling the party boys will lift a notch with the news of the Timepiece Thimble Water Vessel defector coming back home and may even be in the crowd to get them over the line.

Interesting to see the BBQ appointments not with standing over and outs comments congratulations to the oasis and oasisless Bottsy Dad for finally getting a gig in the Big Dance and joins a select few in the Longy Grand final umpires club who hold their meetings in a phone box which means there would not be much room with Big Mossie and his fan in there!

Also in D Grade two former players in Mick Aldred and Doug Lovell get the opportunity to umpire their old teams which is both unusual and unique and no doubt both will do a good job.

I will be cruising the grounds in the Beemer and if you see me come up and say gday I might shout you a frothy one or two that one very important person will be on the end of.

A few hints, an older man, maybe with or without the labrador for company, well dressed and distinuished looking!!!

Merl over and out

PS Good Luck Uncle Mick and the Oasisless Bottsy may the best man win!

Good luck to all playing this weekend and lets hope the weather doesn't play a part.

Evening All,

Nice to see you again today Burgermeister did you recognise me?

Merl's score service for those who cannot navigate the CMCA site!!

The Bills are home and Old man Chubba Surridge will take home Harry after a scintalating ( I know the spelling is wrong but it is for my buddy Burgermeister ) 6 for 19 off 24.3 overs as the great Pretrenders collasped for 119 which would have left the Politican sader than the last election result. While the Bills are 2 for 19 it is game over and first leg of the quaddy locked in.

Merl's Heighters have bundled the Sponge Bobs out for 190 which Bradley will get on his own with some support from his team mates and it will be back into the top grade after an absence of many years.Old man Neil not required to bowl is a strange one.

In the Bobby Dazzler

The Bills at 6 for 203 have left the door slightly ajar for the Sponge Bobs but it will take an all day consistent effort to climb and topple the The Bill mountain!!

D Grade

No scores reported in Vinnie's match come on Vinnie lift your game!!

In E Grade
the Bills have scored a moderate 8 for 186 against the big boys from Mackie and if they have their V 8 turbos tuned up they nearly get up and spoil the last leg of the quaddy.

In F Grade

no scores from either the Beach Boys or Bluey McGaws teams and no apparent need to or penalty from Barrack,Hiliary and co after it is only a Granny and why would Joe Public want to know the scores?

Apparently I may still be giving credit to John Halliday for the The Bills scores service but a spy tells me Greg Brisbane may also be involved. As they are both avid readers of the BCF could you let us know who old Merl should be thanking for keeping him up to date?

G grade

The Bills at 2 for 43 are home after bundling out the broken down machine for 84.

No scores in either H Grade or I Grade so you will have to wait for Jimmy's eye balling radio show for updates on the missing scores

Time for a soothing Merlot to send the old boy off to sleep.

Merl over and out

An APB has been issued for anyone spotting BMF who bowls a little quicker than BP these days!!!!

Some late breaking updates

The H Grade spongebobs are home on the back of Twiggy's 89 and donuts duck with a score of 5 for 239 the timepiece thimble water vessels are no hope and should formally end of talk of the J word ever again!!

In F Grade

Merl's Beach Boys have given Blueys Boys a schallacking bundling them out for 102 but the strength of Blueys Boys has been there bowling so I won't write them off just yet!!!

Merl over and out once again

More late breaking scores

Party Boys in H Grade ordinary with 116 and the Golfers at 1 for 3 and if they stay on the fairway should get home in par.

Unlike Arnie I won't be back tonight.

Merl

Interesting day as i rolled around from ground to ground on a glorious sunny Melbourne day and what i witnessed at Mackie Reserve was a disgrace for the Cmca, Brighton Union. C.C and cricket.
Brighton Union ended the day like a screaming child throwing there toys out of there cot, some of the behavior of Union's senior players was below average, infact even lower especially from Mr Pothitos. Clearly they are a Basket case and word filtering out of Mackie Reserve is the whole side is on a warning and if anyone steps out of line they will be done in big time i assure you.

Union's CV of misdemeanors and piss weak behavior is starting to rival extraordinary lengths and there Captain has no pull over any of his troopers, they are a sinking ship and fast becoming the most hated and disrespected club in the CMCA, which is a shame given the work over the years by such players as Goro, Frew and Co.

Clearly Uniting are a class above that rabble and the piss weak Union lacked any courage and fight to stand up when required with the bat, so instead chose to heckle and get in the face of the young incoming Uniting batsman of Backman & Richards. Uniting's motivation would have been at a all time high before today after Union's again 'piss weak' lack of respect to stay around for a Beer after the semi and water carsen (who ever he is) pathetic spray on here. But i would assume there motivation would have gone another notch higher and i sure Lalor, Russell, Ernst & Britt won't fall for there immature weak hearted, dog like overhand tactics tomorrow.

Yes it is a Final and it is all or nothing, but what i witnessed today was abysmal and as a long time Cmca person i am appalled with what i seen today.
I hope Uniting do it in a canter and i am sure they will and they will show some dignity in doing so, so tomorrow Union i say watch and learn and take stock on how to become a class/respected side.

In response to "OLD MAN NEIL" not bowling, he didn't play as he tore a calf, either eating one or putting away the bowling machine Thursday night. This was after taking on the might of the hampton football club in a gerfuffle at a preorganized centre wicket practise at Highett West on Tuesaday night!! If only the hammers knew he's a Big Puppet!
