The 2022 ICC T20 World Cup commences in October with Australia hosting the latest edition of the tournament. Australia come into the tournament as the defending champions, having won the 2021 edition held in the UAE which was supposed to be held in Australia. That tournament was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and was then to be held in India before eventually being hosted by UAE and Oman while Australia were granted a tournament to be held in 2022.
To get here, Australia received automatic qualification as the host nation with 11 other countries qualifying courtesy of participating in the main draw of the 2021 T20 World Cup. Four other teams qualified through Global Qualifers A and B which were held earlier this year.
The tournament consists of two rounds, the First Round consisting of two groups before being followed by the Super 12 stage which will see the remaining 12 teams split into another two groups.
Below is the group of fixtures for both stages of the tournament.
