Australia in India

Re: Australia in India

TEA on day 1.

174/4 India, a great session for the Australian bowlers, in particular Mitch Johnson. 3 wickets and only conceding 70 runs is a top effort, one I wouldnt have thought possible about 60 minutes ago.

All eyes on the little master, who needs just 2 runs to surpass Brian Lara as the all time highest test scorer.

Re: Australia in India

India are 4/219, Tendulkar on 25 and now holds the record for the most test runs. Ganguly is on 35 and needs only four more runs for a total of 7000 test runs.

Its definately time for Rudi to retire, that was a shocker

As soon as I read that and I saw who was bowling, I thought "Shit, Ed's going to blow a fuse here." :D

:p

I had to go to cricinfo to find out who was bowling, when it happened we were listening to the NSW cheersquad on Fox  Came back to replays of the stumping but never seeing the bowler

Cricinfo said it was a shocker. You should try listening to the ABC if you're not a fan of Foxtel.

Re: Australia in India

Was an awful non decision in the end. White deserved that.

Ganguly passed the 7000 mark and looks set for a big innings.

Foxtel is fine except for when they go back to the studio and the NSW cheersquad. Alan Border I am finding out to be a much better commentator since leaving the selection panel

ABC I cannot stand, anytime I turn on the radio when out to find out whats happening, you cant, they crap on and on and on, its not bad if you want to listen to cricket stories all day though

Re: Australia in India

I like the ABC myself. :)

Tendulkar looks very comfortable out there, could be a long innings in the making here.

Not likely, the Victorians continue to knock him over :D

Re: Australia in India

Siddle just knocked off Tendulkar caught a 1st slip by my man Hayden.

I thought a 100 was on the cards for sure.

Right on queue eddie.

Some say Bollinger should've been in before Siddle and even Noffke.

Your thoughts?

Re: Australia in India

Wait for it, wait for it... Gah, he beat me! :D

Siddle gets his first wicket and it's Tendulkar!! Siddle's ball is good and Tendulkar is forced into playing but gives Hayden another catch in the slip cordon. That's twice in his last two innings Tendulkar has fallen to a debutant.

India 5/305, Tendulkar gone for 88 and Sharma is in as nightwatchman.

Don't have Foxtel so I can't really comment, wouldn't mind having it though. ABC is good in my opinion, O'Keeffe is hilarious and I like Glenn Mitchell as a commentator. Haven't heard Harsha Bhogle yet, he was great in the last series they had over there.

Re: Australia in India

Stumps on Day 1.

311/5 INDIA

Ganguly 54*
Sharma 2*

India with their noses just in front I would say.

Re: Australia in India

Harsha Bhogle wont be commentating due to too many other media commitments, from what Glen Mitchell and Peter Roebuck said in the 1st test.

Shame, he is a decent commentator

Re: Australia in India

Phil Jaques is out for the rest of a tour with a back injury. A decision will be made shortly over whether a replacement player will be flown across.

Should a player go across, the favourites at this stage appear to be Brad Hodge, David Hussey or Shaun Marsh.

Jaques out of tour with back injury

Damn. I hope that Bhogle will commentate on Channel 9 when India tour here in the future. Gun commentator.

What a joke, Bollinger is overrated, didnt perform when he played the Vics so they dropped him for the other meetings. Nofke? When we play QLD the only reason I hope Nofke doesnt play is because he is one of their best batsmen, besides Siddle bowling is much more suited to the conditions than both of them, Dougie needs Johnson to break down

I dont know about rushing Symonds back, has he made a run for QLD this year? :D

Dussey should head over, make it 3 Vic debutants in 3 matches, that will make one site go into meltdown  :D
