Australia last lost a Boxing Day Test 9 years ago. A stiff test awaits India.

tait should have played insted of hogg. whys india playing two spinners thats a stupid move.

Good bowling by India to make comeback in the match but Australia still have hayden, clarke, symonds and gilchrist to bat  :( We need more quick wickets to stop australia. Why are we playing Harbhajan?? Is pathan injured?

I don't know the reason why Pathan was not in the list of the final 12 players. India are playing with just 3 wicket taking bowlers. I think Ishant Sharma would be more suited to this pitch, but he is very inconsistent. India have done better than I expected them to, but Symonds and Gilchirst are very aggressive players and can easily take the game away from India.
Symonds has been dismissed now so its all on Gilchrist if Australia want to post a score around 400. Although, I hope India gets rid of the tail quickly.

337-9 at the end, Kumble with a 5 fer.

India should be happy with that, especially as Aus were 130 odd for no wicket.

337-9 looks good.With Captain leading from the front and taking 5 wickets.
Tomorrow is a crucial day for Indian team.They have to bat reasonably well in order to put the Australian Team under pressure.

a bad day for us but im backing our bowlers to get india under 300. roy and gilly got out to careless shots. they could have taken us to 400 or more. kumble bowled very well but harbhajan was awful.

I woke up early today at 5 am to watch India batting. I hope we can bat better than what Australia did. If we get a lead of 100 or 150 then we will be on top of the game. I am happy that Dravid has moved to opening because Karthik was a weak link in the batting. Dravid and Jaffer are good batsmen they should try to survive the early overs.

jaffer is not a good batsman. hes a poor batsman. he scores runs occasionally but hes not anywhere near the class of other indian batsmen.
dravid has been lucky. he got dropped and then out of a no ball. what the hell is he doing? he has played a lot of balls and hardly scored runs. that just puts the pressure on the other batsmen.

Dravid is not in good form. He has not scored many runs in the recent matches so he is struggling. Well he is out now for 5 of 66 balls. Thats bad for both india and him. He played a lot of balls but hardly scored runs and India played 21 overs and got just 31 runs. That has just increased the pressure. But thanks to him the ball is old now and Laxman on the other side is playing very well. So Laxman and Tendulkar have to do the scoring job now.

He's scored runs against everyone he's played against since he came back on the scene.How can you call someone who has two double hundreds to his name a poor batsman?Obviously he's not the class of Tendulkar or Dravid but not many batsmen in the World are.

those double tons were against west indies and pakistan on flat tracks. hes not too consistent and i am sure he will struggle against us throughout the series.

another wicket gone! what a ball!! thats a beauty from binga.

Thats a big blow because Laxman looked in good touch. All depends upon Ganguly and Tendulkar now. They need to build a big partnership to get India out of trouble. Yuvraj needs to score runs as well because Dravid was pushed to open to accommodate him in the team.

i dont see the point in his selection. hes not a good FC player and indians struggle against pace not spin.

The scoring rate has increased significantly during this partnership. Especially since Hogg has been bowling. Indians should not attack him too much or he will be taken out of the attack. They should try to easily get 4-5 off him every over and ease the pressure.

two wickets in quick succession before tea has put us in total control. should be able to get india all out for less than 250 now.

Dhoni is out straight after the break. India will struggle to even reach 200 from here. Three wickets in 2 overs from Clark has changed the game completely.

What the hell is happening? There was a good fightback by Tendulkar and since his wicket fell India have completely lost their way. Poor batting from the lower middle order. Only Ganguly has looked comfortable. There is no hope now. Australia will easily get a big lead :(

the indian batsmen except tendulkar and ganguly have been pathetic. and those two havent been able to score many runs either. we should easily get a lead in excess of 150.

Very disappointing performance from India today. Very disappointed with Yuvraj and Dhoni. I got up at 5 am to watch this and I am very frustrated. At least I wont wake up early tomorrow.
