Mount Clear are an excellent side when they are on song and everything is going well and there isn't a lot of pressure on them.

However their stroke playing batsmen (eg: Fletcher, George and Nicholson) do seem to struggle when pressure is placed on them.

The pressure may mount in the finals if Blake gets hit around a bit as you would think he would be a little underdone with a lack of match conditioning.

Is there a chance you could give us an example of when The Mounties have crumbled to pressure (Apart from the granny of course)?
i can think of one, The Mounties were playing Point last year and they were
8/140ish on a batsmans paridise. That seems as if they were in a bit of trouble wouldnt you think? Ask the Golden boy Josh White how that game ended up.

The truth is every team has there good days and there bad days. The trick is to not have them in a cut throat final when a flag is on the line. I have a feeling the Mounties have some unfinished business this year.

Re: Ballarat Cricket Association

C'mon Josh, lets move on and let them be.

Do you have an opinion on the makeup of the top 4 like we've all been talking about the last few days? I reckon if you continue your form the Pointies will end up 3rd. Dunno about Swardsy batting so high, what the hell is the go there?

Well Waka I reckon the final ladder will be something like this -

Mt.Clear
East Ballarat
Golden Point

Fourth spot is a tough one, it's out of Wendouree, Napoleons
and Ballarat Redan obviously.....it's a tough call.

And then...

Coronet City
Darley
Brown Hill
North Ballarat

Swardsie was opening just for the one day matches, it didnt come off, but it was defiintely well worth the idea. He can hit a ball, you know that.

Round 12 last year they did it aswell. Bowled us out for 230 at City Oval/Bruce Highway, we put the pressure on from ball one and they crumbled for 145 with Rian McKee the only bloke to show a bit of heart with 55.
I you have the discipline to bowl in the right areas and squeeze them for runs, you're a big chance to knock them off

Correct, I do know that. I may have had something to do with that back in the day too. I let him open one day against Buninyong in the juniors and he smashed them everywhere, the big league is a little different though.

reasons behind this jimmy?

he has being playing very good cricket, and it cant last forever so i think that he will fail this week and then find his feet again and play some more good cricket leading into finals.
