ballarat cricket will play omn whichever turf ground no matter the outfield, as long as the wicket is ready

By far the worst out field I'd ever encounted in many years of cricket was the City Oval. Having a look around the grounds recently it appears that they are in much better condition than this time last year. Like Shakes 7 I'd play any day anywhere if I could and with no end in site of the drought it is the sacrifise we'll have to pay to continue to play the game we love.
