There would have to be some contenders from East and Mount Clear...

No standouts from Mt.Clear, pretty even side. Same with East, maybe thats why they're both contenders this season ...

My top three for the EJ:
1. Johnson (would've nearly polled enough before x-mas to win it)
2. Steenholdt (plenty of runs for Darley)
3. White (plenty of runs for Point)

how bout that guy from mt clear steve nicholson, how would he go?

steve nicholson, i dont know how he finds the time to play A grade cricket in ballarat and tour australia as the newest member of Hi 5. the man is a genius with his time management. By the way he may poll ok, not good, but ok.

yeah johnno would have to be the definite favourite. mainly because while steenholdt has made a few scores its mostly been in a losing side. and from what i saw when we played em he was very very scratchy...maybe an off day but yeah...

Gee i would hate to see what would happen on a good day!!!!
Josh White will win EJ only just over Johnson... makes runs week in week out in what should be his last season in the BCA should go down town to improve his game even more@|
Johnson will poll well especially early on maybe 4 games where he would get the main votes.

I have had a look at the BCA results and I reckon Whitey has 10 or 11 up until Round 10 and Johnno had 11 or 12 after 4 rounds and has polled none since. I'd say Eammon is 1 vote ahead anyway.

Yates always polls well but I reckon he'd be lucky to have 4 votes. Steenholdt may have up to 9 votes but has made runs when they've been getting belted. Can't think of any others.

All rounders do well. Burns has taken plenty of wickets and got a couple of 50s. Probably polled 7 or 8 votes. Fletch has got plenty of starts and taken a few 3 fors so who knows? Whitey has certainly been the dominant player in the comp but the old EJ might be a bit of a nut-tightener this year.

I'm going for my koala-headed southpaw first-drop in J. White from Steenholdt and Burns.

I had a look at that too. I think your on the money Steveo. Still think Johnno will have one more good game and that might snare it for him.White 2nd & steenholdt 3rd for me. Burns will be the hard one. Do umipres give say a fifty and 3 wickets the 3 votes in a losing team ahead of a batsman making 60 or 70 in a winning team. Who knows?

johnno definately has 1 more good game coming up. wend play brown hill, & let me tell u, there is not 1 downhill skier from that weak mob that will knuckle down & grit it out against eamon. run by cowboys, play like cowboys & they loved breakback mountain

I am going to be honest blokes and tell you all that it is pretty immature to continually bag players/teams throughout the BCA.
One thing we seem to forget is that the BCA have put together a very competititive association which is becoming more and more even.

Any team can win on any day. I unfortunately didn't play 1 minute due to rain but happened to journey over to Ballarat Grammer.

Darley and Coronet played out an awesome game which was turned into chaos when Coronet lost 7/20.
Darley should have won but I think Dewar and it looked like the captain dropped crucial catches.
I have never seen a more despondent team than Darley after the game.

It's actually good to see Coronet and Darley win a few games.

Although Darley's ground fielding and catching display didn't help their cause on the weekend the pivotal moment in the match was clearly when Parker left Steenholdt high and dry resulting in him being run out by half a pitch length.

I reckon they should. Big effort to take 3 for and get a 50. And Cobber can't be serious. Kaney and Ryan are two of the better blokes in the BCA.

I Agree gospel. He was starting to look very good and would have been very dangerous in the last 10 overs. Instead i think it was blake and somebody else that struggled to lay bat on ball in the last 5 or so overs.

interesting. word round the traps is that parks hasnt been happy with the skipper batting him so low for most of the season. parks finally gets his chance higher up the order & he burns the skipper.....i wonder???

also, im pretty confident that this is the 3rd run out for steenholdt in 7 hits. thats staggering for a player of his caliber.

Peter is definately not best of the Kanes, and Ryan is definately not best of the Knowles'.

Luke Kane and Tim Knowles clearly better cricketers than there brothers.

Carmel Knowles bowles with good pace too...

Are you being serious there Scoot?

Ryan Knowles is clearly the better player when in form, and Jason Knowles is also a better player than Tim Knowles.

And who is Luke Kane? I know Matt Kane is Petes brother, is there another brother?
