Parker & Nicholson bowled well at Country Week last year. Fletcher is a bonus due to his batting. The spinners usually rotate each game.

Branchy could be the Earl of Twirl of the BCA for all I care, but solely on principle I wouldn't pick him. He barely turns up to training at Naps and when he does he is a disruption.

not happy with having him out that way?

This cracks me up. Having a go at the 'cocky' 20 year olds who haven't proven anything. SteveO I remember when we used to play against you in your younger day and you were a just a mouthpiece. No results. spent most of the time in the magoos when Kleiny was captain then have only really started doing anything over the last 2 seasons.

Now when it suits, after you have berated your own team mates over many years, flying off the handle at any moment, take the high morale ground wondering why these up and comers are smart ar***.

Kleiny was captain for two years and I won the GPCC 1st XI B&F in his second year so you're off the mark there.

I'll admit that I didn't have my white line fever in check as a younger bloke, but I never talked crap for the sake of it. And I never disrespected senior opposition players.

You a Naps player?

My tips for this week:

Darley vs Golden Point : Even without Moore they will still win. The wheels have fallen off at Lion land.

East Ballarat vs Mt Clear : Match of the round. Fitness could be an issue for the mounties but they have too much variety.

Ballarat/Redan vs North Ballarat : North wont win for the year (Best chance though).

Napoleons/Sebastopol vs Coronet City: Naps look to be hitting there stride at the right time

Brown Hill vs Wendouree : Too strong of a team against the Hill. Hill will give it eveything though, their season is on the line.

Thoughts???

Darley v's G/Point- Looking at it Darely has been getting smacked by big totals against the better sides, Should be a closer game than we think....G/Point relying on White, Sven and Appleton, Darley relying on Cape, Parker, Steenholdt and Dawson...could go either way Darley just with home ground advantage...

East v's Mt Clear- East have been the better alround unit and with return of Irvine makes East alot stronger.....East to give Mt there second loss in a row

B/Redan v's Nth- Nth have struggled this year but then again so has B/Redan, B/redan look the more likely in this one...

Naps v's Coronet- coronet rely on too few whereas Naps are getting some momentum and should win by plenty

Brown Hill v's Wendouree- The Hill had a good win last week but still the boys at Wendouree have got the quality players to over run them....in saying this Johnson would have lost alot of confidence in the last month getting smacked in QLD and his 1st game back against Mt Clear...Intersting to see how he bounces back!!!!!

at the same time here if a senior player is giving you ******** on the field your not going to sit there and take it with good heart and give nothing back.

anything can happen on the field as long as after the game your happy to have a drink or two with the opposition. i would be happy for someone like branchy to be giving me ******** and if i was to give it back as i know after the game we wouldn't take what happened on the field off it.

also SteveO has never berated myself playing under him for the last few years

Gee, I was expecting you to say something else. A remember a one T. Nijam speaking with me at rep training last season saying quite the contrary. You and him wanted to stay in the seconds and felt 'under too much pressure' for 1 main reason to play higher.

Ballarat is a very small place and it's amazing how quickly these stories get around.

it could of also had something to do with us not performing good enough in the 1sts, hence feeling the pressure in the firsts.

Not that its any excuse Sven, but would the older, so called "wiser" heads be any influence? Young blokes following the lead.......lets see:

East young blokes following the likes of Simpkin or Thompson for that matter.
Mt.Clear learning the ropes from say a Jeffrey
Naps filling the big steps of a Leech
And in days gone by Redan being influenced by dare I say it, Bambury?
etc etc

Thoughts?

I do agree that you should be able to back up your sledging but what happens if a well respected player goes to town on you first. Does that mean you can't give a little back yourself.

East V Mount Clear: East have more depth and batters a lot more consistent so they should post winning score. If Kentish and Blake play they will be under done i would suggest from lack of match play so East to get a benifit from this.

Redan V North: Both sides struggling however Ballarat Redan have more batting depth than North. I see their bowling units as overall very similar so whichever team can click with the batting will win.

Naps V Coronet: Agree Coronet lack depth with relying on a few guns. Naps on the way up and should win comfortably.

Darley V Golden Point. I believe Darley will win this game. They seem to have dropped i=of the pace a lttle however are unpredictable and i think they will beat a good team before the end of the year and this could be the one. M. Cape back in will make the difference as he will be geed up to do well in his return to the firsts.

Brown Hill V Wendouree: Wendouree to defeat Brown Hill. Game depends on Brown Hill batters as they have the potential to hit a big score which could put the Wendouree Incosistent top order under the pump which could then expose a middle and lower order than hasn't had to bat for a great length of time since early in the season.

Yea I know an oversight on my behalf as i didn't realise they play Darley and Darley have been struggling so probably about time they pull a win out of their a*** against a top side. Either Pointies this week or Wendouree in Round 12.

Sorry for the oversight.>> Cobber14

Of course he didn't play. Nijam told me about the situation at the under 21s training.

As if if I'm going to give my name? If I let rip, it would obvious who I am and what fun is that?

Is Mt Clear a special ed school?

be interesting to hear what was said there? nothing is taken serious unless you put your name to it....

it is very easy to try and stir the pot when you have no idea about what happens inside the cricket club,
steve and i have always had a good relationship at cricket

also nijam hasn't trained for the 21's since about 18 months ago, try digging up some new material pal
