I was a mere 14 when I made the A-grade debut and I didnt have to face a ball!!! Walked out to bat at the non-strikers end got called through for a suicide second run and got done by a direct hit from the boundary without facing a ball...diamond duck debut

gotta love those quality debuts as a young fella. and because you'd never faced these bowlers and you were opening you would just tell yourself that they can't be that good - nothing to worry about. then you'd see them mark out their run up, you'd look back and see how far back the keeper and slips were standing and you'd walk up to Johnny Bray at the non strikers end who always refused to face the first ball and say "mate if i get my pad or bat anywhere near this I'm running so you'd better be ready!!!!!!"

was that everyone or just me?

haha i dont doubt that mate!!!! was a bit easier being an all-rounder had a shot at revenge and picked up 2 fa so it made it a little less traumatic...

I debuted at 16 and got Damian Faulkhead in my first game. He tore through our top order - at one stage he had 4/6 or something. Game 2 saw Mark Hynes at his best, and on a hat-trick when I walked in.

its all fun and games. yes good point about Darley doing something they should . the amount of time they have spent, in the comp and the results achieved is not good enough.
With steeny there i think he demands things from his players. his first season was a sighter he noes what to exscpect now. If he doesnt get run out every week there is another 50 you can add to the batting. The lads will be better than last season. The boy's started last season on fire. lets hope they can do the same but have plenty of wood to keep the den rage'n.

I thought that they'd wised up in the last few years and gone with the one-dayers after christmas cos im sure most of you out there will have faced the dilemma of being short at that time...mutiny might be in order here..
