Unless I have the wrong draw I'm pretty sure there are no Sundays.

ROUND 7, Saturday DECEMBER 20 (1 Day)
Mt. Clear v Darley
Golden Point v Wendouree
East Ballarat v Napoleons/Sebastopol
Coronet City v Ballarat/Redan
North Ballarat v Brown Hill

ROUND 8, Saturday JANUARY 10 (1 Day)
Ballarat/Redan v Wendouree
Napoleons/Sebastopol v Mt. Clear
Darley v North Ballarat
Golden Point v Coronet City
Brown Hill v East Ballarat

ROUND 9, JANUARY 17 and 24 (both Saturdays)
Golden Point v East Ballarat
Napoleons/Sebastopol v Ballarat/Redan
North Ballarat v Wendouree
Mt. Clear v Coronet City
Darley v Brown Hill

Round 8 will become SUNDAY 11th Jan. Premier Cricket back in Ballarat. University vs Carlton, I think. Alot of dribble about having to be more accomodating to other fixtures etc.. but at the end of the day Ron did not make much sense in his 8 minutes of the 15 minute AGM.

Re: Ballarat Cricket Association

Come on SteveO. Can you share entire draw. Might give us all a bit more to talk about, than most of the other crap that has been going around lately.

well i think its pretty obvious darley have the easiest draw, considering they never get to play against themselves. unbeatable this year, according to them. any got their finals history since joining the bca????

are you for real man, no one has ever said from darley where unbeatable. all we have said is that we have been working hard on recruiting some new players into the fold. we have said; to look out because we will improve i can be sure of that. that draw is pretty fair. having looked through it. but i still do not like how they put there matches. like round one we play East and then we dont play them again. why do they put the matches like this.
i must admit though pretty happy to only play the once. but still
Round 6 we play ballarat Redan. then again in round 12.
overall it's not a bad draw.
what does everyone else think how they do the draw. it's a big relief no sunday games.
3 cheers for that.

Ballarat-Redan play the two hottest premiership favourites twice. Darley and Wendouree. Although I doubt the combine will have too many easy games this year.

Given all the chatter, will there be any easy games anyway?

keep in mind the Jan 10 game will be moved to Sunday Jan 11 due to the Premier League match.

The 2nds will no doubt play sunday games early in the year as they have for the past 2 seasons

Re: Ballarat Cricket Association

well i was proved correct when i delivered on the pete moore scoop of him moving to darley. clearance lodged with the bca & has been instantly dismiised by point, so off to the appeals board it goes.

will be an interesting decision.......

my thoughts, for what they are worth, which isnt much, but i reckon steveo you had better have a useful replacement in the wings, not sure your gunna win this one im afraid.

cmon ladies, put your thoughts up & lets see who gets it right or wrong.

He will not get cleared because as Steve O stated he hasn't played 3 years at Golden Point since being Registered. Darley cannot use the exceptional cirumstance clause its only available to Golden Point. If he does get cleared Point would be entitled to take legal action against the BCA for breach of rules.

I for one won't be surprised if it does get granted on appeal I think it was leachy that said naps lost one of their young blokes a few years back and I know Ballarat Redan got a young guy from east last year before he had played 3 senior seasons... Could go either way but unfortunetly I think he will get it... Which will once again prove the rules in the BCA don't mean S#!T...

Sadly your right...I mean this is a competition where you get fined hundreds of dollars for putting Naps/Sebas on the team sheet instead of Napoleons/Sebastopol, and then can swear and abuse umpires and players show dissent etc and all you'll get is a suspended sentence on top of a suspended sentence on top of a suspended sentence........and so on...just to name a few contradictions..

Don't want to go trolling through heps of pages to find it but SteveO has stated he played atleast 3 years but as big guy has just said the junior thing isn't really important it's how many years of seniors he has played since juniors

Even stranger about all of those Naps/Sebas fines when the online system does not fit the full name in either! Its a pretty ordinary fine to cop.

I would assume that it been refused on the basis of Rule 10.3.1 (e) that has been discussed on here recently? Or is it on other another rule?

I see how big guy and Scimitar 618 would be reading Rule 10.3.1 (e), where to my understanding it means that when a player is first registered with a club they must play three years with that club.

However, my understanding of Rule 10.3.1 (d) is, that if for arguments sake someone plays one season of juniors with a club, then they are only required to play one season of seniors with that same club before they become 'free agents'.

It may just be me, but it appears as thou if you play one season of juniors the club can only hold onto you for one senior season, however if you have signed up from another league (or you didn't play juniors) you are locked in to playing with that club for three seasons. Is this a grey area in the rules?

Also can someone tell me, I am new to the BCA, does the away team need to bring anything to a game, i.e. stumps or afternoon tea?

For someone new to the BCA i find it interesting your first post on here would be about Golden Point and Peter Moore and then on your next post go into the rules of the BCA? You seem to be fairly interested in that topic for a someone new to the competition?

away team bring a set of stumps stumps and their own afternoon tea

Not from this year. Home team to supply 6 stumps and all of the bails, like every other comp in the state of Victoria and if not the country. However you still need to provide your own afternoon tea.
