Ohhhhh piss off. let's get fair dinkum here. there should be no north player in any bca combined side at the moment. they are not far in front of coronet at the moment but at least those clowns have burns despite the fact they will be in division one next year. what will it be after this round? 12 games in a row without a win? or is it more? trower may take a while to get used to decks like the carpet on sebas no. 2 or the east high road, will he? come on! and if winnard hasn't put it together on the park yet then why is he being picked in a kenmac side?

they needed to play 3 u/21 players 'mike'.

what other u/21 player would you include that wasn't playing in bendigo on sunday?

They have still got u/18 Ballarat, Central Highlands rep cricket with a pretty heavy workload ahead of them.

I don't see why your against some good future players getting a crack at that level?

Congratulations Mike. I think you've officially taken over the mantle previously held by Pidge as the posting clown of the site. Honestly, we all have our opinions, some of us chose to sling some mud in jest and some of us like yourself just go that little bit too far. You obviously have some anger issues which may need to be addressed, either that or don't let anyone find out who you really are.

The BCA selectors have a bloody tough job at the best of times. You say picking blokes on form is the way to go but with the weather playing a part of a few games this year not everyone has an even chance to perform (that's my excuse for having a bad start anyway). When do you pick the blokes in form? If blokes have a good start to the season do you put them in the team now and leave out the regulars like Pyke, Thommo and Irv etc who haven't had a smashing start but would walk into the team any year? Do you select a side 2 weeks beforehand on form and run with it? Please enlighten us on the best and most surefire way to select the best side to represent our competition to defend the title?

Apologies to Pykey, Thommo and Irv I have no idea how you guys have gone, just trying to make some sort of valid point to kill time.

I think everyone needs to relax a little. There is another BCA squad playing this week against Castlemaine and i would predict that half the team would be turned over from last weeks game and more players brought in this week. It might be 4 east players, 3 mt clear, 2 darley etc

There is then a intra-league game the following sunday which the "main" BCA rep side will be picked from.

While they are representing the BCA, maryborough & castlemaine wouldnt be much chop as they are a div 3 country week side at best so can give guys a look in that probably dont deserve it. It gives them exposure and probably the aim to play in the main team so they continue to work on their cricket. The BCA will win the kenmac shield easily and if they have a weaker side it makes sure some players have to stand up to ensure they win and see how some players perform under pressure.

When they play Bendigo they will have its best side playing as it is the main lead up game to country week.

i agree with you on the bottle throwing,im amazed the boys even got close to the road signs anyway..but as far as the carnies from east comment, im not sure ive seen a club of carnies win a club championship before..as an east player i take comments like that personally. these people who slag off teams and players on this site whilst hiding behind an alias are nothing but weak gutless morons. ive played cricket against guys like yourself and im sure your the type that gets out when the going gets a bit tough or you fake an injury after being smashed aroung the park.. for all you gutless wonders out there, go #^&* yourself!!!!

Re: Ballarat Cricket Association

This is all very interesting with these personal attacks. How about some people give some feedback on who are some of the best and worst teams to play against. ie: who is respected as a bloke and who is hated!!!! I think this will be an interesting discussion. I will start with saying that Wendouree as a rule are a good bunch of blokes but Parker from Darley is a bit of a flog. Anymore feedback?

Come on mate. You refer to the interesting nature of the personal attacks then say Parks is a flog.

I can tell you first hand that spraying blokes to make yourself feel better or to get under their skin does you no good and can invariably backfire.

I tried to get Chris Banwell going last year and the next thing you know we miss out on finals by half a game. Then I have several chats with him and find he's a pretty decent bloke who gets white line fever like many blokes.

Then young Whelan from Darley had a crack at me before the season began and look where it has got him this week. "Another piece of meat for the den, Old Man," he said. Yet I get along very well with the Darley blokes.

Have a beer with Parks and you'll find he is a champ of a fella.

P.S. Coming to get ya', Mikey!!!

Re: Ballarat Cricket Association

in regard to players being liked and not liked, in the lower grades (3rds) where i usually knock around, its a bit hard to 'hate' (i dont like using that word unless its necessary) players cause its usually a bit more relaxed.

HOWEVER.... there are always some exceptions to the rule. i know cameron haines from mt clear is severly disliked by most players who play against him. i know mumpy wallace is a massive fan of his.

I'm with you SteveO, white line fever should be taken into account at all times when on the field. There's plenty of blokes going around in all grades of cricket that you would love to wrap a bat around on field but find off the turf they're totally different.

Parks is a good bloke, as a re most of the Darley boys I know. Rex Hunts on the field most of the time but more than willing to leave it there after the game and have a jar or 2 with ya.

Result 1 of the 20/20. Ballarat/Redan defeated North Ballarat on the last ball of the match. North made 148 with Hoppy smashing us everywhere for about 60 odd, the Pom Trowan?? (I think that's him) batted well and showed some good signs for them. Brilliant game for the 100 strong crowd to watch. Thanks to our boys for putting on the BBQ for all to enjoy. I think there's something in that BCA, play the games and home grounds on a rotational basis. Each home club would easily make the entry fee back and then some so I say keep it going!

Brown Hill easily accounted for us Pointies.

Whitey hit 60 odd no to get us around 140.

Knowlsey (Ryan) and Deano Romeril hit us everywhere for the Hill, especially myself being taken for 32 off a Romeril over (4,6,4,6,6,6). Such brings and end to my T20 career.

In perhaps one of the bigger mis-matches of the comp Naps slaughtered Haddon. Naps making 7/192 on a very long, lush sebas ground. Tyler Dittloff hit the ball extremely well to make 86 not out. Haddon then were rolled for just 31. Matt Ringin taking 4/8 from 4 overs, Corden 2/5 from 2 and a couple of young blokes Dane Furness and Dan Hamilton taking two each as well.

What is your problem polecat and mike, ive got nothing against u guys sharing your opinion on the kenmac side that played on sunday but y don't u leave the personal attacks out of it.
I along with the other 2 u21 boys who played in that side are aware that we were lucky to b there because of the game being played in bendigo. i probably didn't deserve to be there and may not ever b there again but it was a great experience which i enjoyed allot and will no doubt improve my cricket for years to come. calling me along with the other 2 boys a 'disgrace' along with other names just shows how weak u both r. im tippin uv never even watched us play and your only goin off a few stats that uv seen
