anybody got any thoughts on the outcome of tomorrow night's T20 match between the red caps and nappers?

Would anyone other than wendouree or napoleons blokes actually give a rat's arse?

Re: Ballarat Cricket Association

and there is enough stats on this website to figure out that all of your posts mike are rubbish. also there is probably no one else on here that cares about your posts except for you, so that makes the T20 game bigger than you unlucky champ. I'm tipping there are a few people hunting you down....dont get scarred by the footsteps you are hearing, or the shaddows you cringe at

Re: Ballarat Cricket Association

Havent been in here for a while and some relevant posts amongst alot of dribble.

A while (in round 1) back I criticised the umpire numbers but they look alot better now than they did in round 1 so appears the BCUA are doing all things possible to recruit so thats all you can be expected to do.

We (Naps) have a huge day planned for Sunday with our XMAS wind up with a Band (so im told) and festivities including a 20/20 social game with all monies raised being donated to Cancer research - so anyone looking for a frothie can head out our way to quench the thirst and help a good cause. Everyone is welcome.

We did get rolled in the 20/20 final which is disappointing but playing in that is better practice than net training and a bit of publicity helps the profile of the club.

Word on the street is he is good mates with Sproules. Might see him at naps in the next few weeks, maybe David will give him the whipper snipper he has always wanted.

Judging by the state of Sherrard it would appear the whipper snipper is idol - either that or there isn't a long enough extention chord.:D

Now listen here Pots, fair to say the boy appreciated what he got, so don't think for a minute it wasn't. Obviously deadset struggling with the concept of not playing so I hope you crumbs are getting behind the big fella, been a pretty shite couple of years for a great bloke.

By the way, what's this rumour, one G, orge be pulling on the whites this week.

Now that I'm on here may as well make some selections and comments cricket related. Obvious cut and past from the website,

FIRST XI

One day matches on Saturday 20 December 2008 – 12.30 p.m. start

Mt. Clear v Darley at University of Ballarat (Gary Lofts, Greg Shephard) - Darley will win, rate their attack, jury out out on Mt Clear

Golden Point v Wendouree at Eastern Oval (Aaron Fowkes, Des Lloyd) - Wendouree should be too good. Great batting line up, just too good in the Twenty 20

East Ballarat v Napoleons/Sebastopol at East Secondary College (Stephen Bathurst, Peter Mackay) - For obvious reasons, just reckon the Dog and Potts might fail agaisnt Thommo in form - Bathurst? Not sure of him as an ump, but reckon he'll add value to the game and make the right decision against the Dog

Coronet City v Ballarat/Redan at Ballarat Grammar (2) (Murray Bayly, Ron Bedford) - You'd reckon Redan, but wouldn't be surprised to see Coronet in a one dayer, would love to see Burnsy do well

North Ballarat v Brown Hill at St. Patrick’s College (2) (Lloyd Brookes, Malcolm Rock) - Without knowing selections, based on Hoppy playing, best bowler in the comp and very handy one day bat

Thats my 2 cents, I'm sure there'll be some disagreement, am suprised to see Wakka getting invloved early days in the Christmas spirit with the christmas lights, probably not a Courier chance, but definitely fineable at Redan if that goes on there.

By the way Thick Edge, thanks for reminding me, this Sunday we honour one of Naps finest, so all who would like to come along and remember a great man in Ballarat cricket get along to Napoleons, should be a great day, all are welcome to attend and remember a great icon of our local game - some may not have known him from outside the club, which I'd be surprised by, but the people who knew him, knew what he was all about, we sorely miss him and look forward to honouring the great man this week.

No not a courier chance this year Inzy, have only started with the lights this year and will build in the coming years to light up Alfredton Drive good and proper! The fine tin will most likely be out if Landry gets wind of it.....HO HO HO, Merry Christmas boys!

Re: Ballarat Cricket Association

Merry Christmas lads,

very interesting results on the weekend and the 5 rounds in the new year will be crucial for all sides. Has there been such an even competition before with 5 or 6 sides all capable of making finals.

Good luck in the barossa thickedge.
