Battrick - Season 11 Chat

Re: Battrick - Season 11 Chat

I've pulled a Prof bowler once but that was with ITS (and I was after a batter lol). Never had much when going for the 0 pull.

Re: Battrick - Season 11 Chat

Just pulled this guy with no ITS

Code:
Warushai Dharmapala - 17 yo, BT Rating=2,138
LH Batsman, LM Bowler, respectable batting form, respectable bowling form, fresh fitness.
A destructive player with proficient leadership skills and abysmal experience.
Stamina: woeful Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: competent Concentration: worthless
Bowling: worthless Consistency: woeful
Fielding: worthless

Got lucky with the batting but concentration is too low to be worth training.

Re: Battrick - Season 11 Chat

if anyone wants a friendly my team is Cook County Cricket Club in the Windies. same user name in BT as I have here. I'll play my scrubs.

Re: Battrick - Season 11 Chat

Got a friendly on Sunday against a much stronger team. Should I rest my players who played yesterday so they don't get tired, or just play them?

Also, with the PFL, I know it changes for each player, but does it change after each match, or is it up to the user to calculate whether the player will be tired.

IE, if a player is sublime fitness, after he plays a game will it drop, or is it up to me to figure out?

Cheers

Re: Battrick - Season 11 Chat

Well friendly's only lower your PFL by I think 1/3 of what a regular OD game would.

Friendlys are used by a lot of people for fun or to experiment with there team and their line-ups so its up to you if you use your regular team or try something different.

Im pretty sure the PFl is updated at the next daily update after the match.

Stamina: woeful Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: competent Concentration: worthless
Bowling: worthless Consistency: woeful
Fielding: worthless

Got lucky with the batting but concentration is too low to be worth training.

Re: Battrick - Season 11 Chat

Atm I'm training just 3 players, 3 nets each with one on 4.

Matthew Garricks - 17 yo, BT Rating=3,605
RH Batsman, LF Bowler, proficient batting form, proficient bowling form, energetic fitness.
Code:
A destructive player with abysmal leadership skills and worthless experience.
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: abysmal Concentration: woeful
Bowling: mediocre Consistency: mediocre
Fielding: woeful

^^Got him on 2 bowling, 1 stamina

Lucas Pollard - 17 yo, BT Rating=5,144
RH Batsman, RH Spin Bowler, proficient batting form, proficient bowling form, energetic fitness.
Code:
An attacking player with proficient leadership skills and worthless experience.
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: mediocre
Batting: mediocre Concentration: mediocre
Bowling: abysmal Consistency: feeble
Fielding: feeble

Got him on 2 bat, 1 stam 1 WK.

And

Dominic Bloomfield - 17 yo, BT Rating=4,610
LH Batsman, LFM Bowler, abysmal batting form, competent bowling form, sublime fitness.
Code:
A steady player with feeble leadership skills and worthless experience.
Stamina: respectable Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: mediocre Concentration: competent
Bowling: worthless Consistency: worthless
Fielding: worthless

On 2 bat 1 stam.

Does this all seem good?

Also, I bought in a 17 year old bowler with med/med/comp, does it cost an extra to swap the training from one bowler to another?

you don't know unless you know when they popped last. Once you know when a player has popped (i make a note in the player note or that player) you can plot out the training since the training times are well known. there's a website that has them all documented for number of nets, etc.

Re: Battrick - Season 11 Chat

Sundries, training looks good. The bowler is destructive and I don't prefer destructive players (just my opinion). When they are hot they are hot, but when they are cold they are cold. I feel it is a gamble. I would maybe spread those sessions to the new trainee, if he isn't destructive, and maybe get a fielding session on the wk trainee. A fielding net makes the secondaries pop quicker. so does a wk session, so if you could squeeze a fielding pop to the wk trainee his concentration will pop even quicker. His skill as a wk is not just his wk level, but a combo of wk, concentration, and fielding.

regarding your last question, nope. You can switch sessions to different players at any time for no extra cost. However, if you fire a coach you will ahve to pay his wages at the next update for redundency purposes.

Say if I've also got a batter that's

Code:
	Stamina: mediocre W/Keeping: worthless
Age: 17 years old Batting: mediocre Concentration: competent
BT Rating: 3,600 Bowling: worthless Consistency: abysmal
Deadline: 03/01/2009 06:14 Fielding: woeful

Should I chuck him on two battign nests instead of the WK(pollard) and keep pollard on a WK net, or just keep all on Pollard?

How exactly does a secondary eg.Concentration pop?

Does it just evolve or does like you said, a fielding net help it.

Re: Battrick - Season 11 Chat

Secondary stats pop only if you have pshycologists but extra nets like fielding means mroe sessions with the pshycologist which means faster training becuase the phsycologists com to every net.

Training speeds - Battrick Helpfile

It's an estimate rather than set in stone. Some players may take a little longer, some may train slightly quicker (talking a week here or there).

I'd train the wk if you can, although the problem there is having to train him in so many things (batting, wk, fieldling, and stamina) since you don't really want a guy who can just play wk and not bat.

Re: Battrick - Season 11 Chat

Picked up this guy for 1k, too bad I don't have enough nets to train him.

Code:
Duncan Farrell - 17 yo, BT Rating=3,630
RH Batsman, LFM Bowler, mediocre batting form, respectable bowling form, sublime fitness.
A defensive player with abysmal leadership skills and worthless experience.
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: mediocre Concentration: competent
Bowling: worthless Consistency: woeful
Fielding: worthless

Also picked up this guy and put him on a bowling net.

Code:
Calum Orr - 20 yo, BT Rating=3,858
RH Batsman, RF Bowler, strong batting form, mediocre bowling form, sublime fitness.
A cautious player with superb leadership skills and mediocre experience.
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: worthless Concentration: worthless
Bowling: mediocre Consistency: competent
Fielding: worthless

Stamina: competent Wicket Keeping: worthless

271-5 very good score Breeno your batters really powered along in the last few overs.Noone has scored that much against me in an OD in a while then again I always go really bad in friendlies for some reason >.>

Lets see if your bowlers can defend your score.

Re: Battrick - Season 11 Chat
