Castlemaine and District Cricket Association

Re: Castlemaine and District Cricket Association

jando u need to get over yourself. guildford goats are clearly the team to beat this year anyway. they have built a solid list over the past couple of years, and recruited well this year unlike the colts or the dirty redhats.

Re: Castlemaine and District Cricket Association

very suitable name the goats,as you do play on a goat track.true that you have put together a very handy list which has been stolen from other clubs.not capable of developing any local talent.surely there most be some good kids pardon the pun out in mountains of guildford. get off the party weed, put down the bottle of moonshine, crawl out of the bush and try to bring thru some young kids who can one day say that they have always played at the goats instead of saying they were part of the stolen generation..go colts

Re: Castlemaine and District Cricket Association

we dont have any locals in our side, what a joke "jando". this coming from a bloke who plays for the bendigo colts. where did u come from? b funny in 10 years time when people look back at premiership photos and dont recognise anyone. and i noticed your "old" side has a left armer opening the bowling this year, and somehow i dont think he played his junior cricket with a redhat on did he?

Well Castlemaine have set their season up and now are guaranteed a spot in the finals.

Will be interesting to see how they approach the rest of the season and how well they can cope with the flag favourtism.

A note on this though whats happened to Kyneton? Wheels fallen off or just a rabble???

To be beaten outright on a hard wicket suggests the latter thought.

Re: Castlemaine and District Cricket Association

Word is the Sunday clashed with their biggest fundraiser of the year and they had a few blokes not play because of that.

Playing Saturday/ Sunday games should not happen. Can't tell me it is that difficult to arrange it so teams with a clash at their ground have the bye or play away.

Must say I agree. There should be no Saturday/Sunday at all.

Re: Castlemaine and District Cricket Association

dont worry about castlemaine united outswinger, they are flyin! they along with guildford (who have recruited well) are gunna be the teams to beat. barkers and the sookycolts will round out the 4. the dirty redhats will get sorted when they play some decent sides in the next fortnight.

I would agree that Castlemaine Utd are set for the finals but I would disagree with guildford being a team to beat. They rely too heavily on Flip Oliver. 95 out of 175 on the weekend. If the Brindleys go well then Malmsbury will win their match.

As for Colts they would be second in the running at the moment but again Stubbings is holding them together at the minute so he would need some help.

Barkers are a dangerous team but their bowling attack looks very weak. David Semmens was bowling in a game and Al Mack has been a wicket taker. Neither are good bowlers.

I have a feeling the Redhats may make you eat your words Hoff, Jamie Allan and Jarrod Milsom are yet to fire plus Mark Frankling looks like he is getting some starts.

I dont think creek will be as good this year because Jones was a great player and thats a big hole in the batting and bowling. With the red hats you cant keep people like Allan and Milsom down all season when they find form i think they will beat most teams. I think that castlemaine will finish on top then barkers north and watch out for newstead after christmas because they always come good after the break

Re: Castlemaine and District Cricket Association

yeah triglet, the redhats are flying! not. i called it, that when they started playing the better sides they would get found out. two losses, both to sides that were in the finals last year. they will be in for a royal flogging this week on the goat track! outswinger thinks barkers use part time bowlers. well except for jamie allen, the redhats are full of part timers.

Re: Castlemaine and District Cricket Association

Well i wouldnt call Pete Mercuri or Al Mack bowlers i could handle those two last year and i was 15. Milsom and kyle mclean arent part timers they can both bowl. who do u play 4 any way?

Re: Castlemaine and District Cricket Association

mate, i think if u check the stats mercuri and al mack are right up there on the wickets list. never heard of mclean so i cant comment on him. milsom couldn't hit the pitch if it was twice as wide. from what i've heard, the rest are pretty ordinary. i'm just a local cricket fan. where do u hail from little triglet?

Re: Castlemaine and District Cricket Association

stats dont mean a lot this early in the year talk about them near the end of the year. Im from castlemaine utd

Re: Castlemaine and District Cricket Association

fair point triglet. i'm glad you are from united, we mite actually get some sense on this forum now. instead of the one sided opinions from all the redhats on here.

Re: Castlemaine and District Cricket Association

lol what u say there is one sided saying all red hats have no sense. Another thing im sick of people slamming our a res team we preety much are all in c grade one or two years out or over 45.

Re: Castlemaine and District Cricket Association

well looks like the redhats will have 2 wait til next week 2 get their floggin off the goatsters. looks like the steaders are startin to find a bit of form, and they will only get better. what is the go with heath waddington playing b grade this year? whats he trying to prove? big man taking bags of wickets against old men and young kids. step up and be counted son!

Seems the Redhats gave the Goats a fairly big flogging at the Goat Track.

Matt Giri must have bowled brilliantly to take 6 wickets and I see the younger players chipped with some very good performances.

Do people think the Redhats could make the finals this season? Castlemaine and Barkers Ck are definites.
