And thanks Viru, hope you enjoy the match, Should be a good one.
I'm sure you must have enjoyed the match. Would have been great to see Gilchrist scoring a century in his final appearance at WACA. Its amazing that he made half the runs that Australia made.

Re: CB Series

Bloody good match. The crowd, the atmosphere, just great. One of the best I've been to in a while. Good seeing Gilchrist getting a century in his last game at his home ground, everyone just went beserk. Ponting played quite well, till he cut the ball into the hands of Jayawardene. And Gilly truely deserved the MOM award, even if he made a duck

Re: CB Series

Yeah it was a memorable match. Gilchrist fully deserved it. Its good that he will be retiring on a high.

Its clear that Australia will be in the finals. I think the results of the next two India vs SL matches will determine which one of the two will proceed to the finals. SL have a very poor Net RR so its likely that India will be in the finals.

Re: CB Series

tomorrows game could be exciting. if we win then we should easily get in the final. lee isnt playing tommorow. thats a big advantage. sehwag is in doubt. well he was out of form so better to replace him. i think yuvraj should be dropped too. has he even reached double figures on this tour.

Re: CB Series

Australia are going to bat. The records are better for team batting second. There is grass on the pitch. I hope it helps India.

Re: CB Series

I just thought before the ball was bowled that Ponting would get out and that happened. His bad form is continuing. This is a good start for India they are doing their best. I hope they can continue.

Re: CB Series

This is certainly a good start for India. Hayden tried to cut one too close to the body reducing Australia to 43-3. Its upto Symonds and Clarke to do the repair work now. The decision to play 5 bowlers may turn out to be a very good one.

Re: CB Series

They've lost Symonds as well. If India can get either Hussey or Clarke then Australia's chances of posting a competitive total will decrease significantly. They need to get a move on. The run rate is too slow at the moment. Given the current situation, I think a score around 220-230 would be a good one.

Re: CB Series

Oh god India will easily lose now. They gave too many runs to the tail enders. Why send Pathan at 3? Strange decision. They should have chased 200 but they lost too many wickets.

Re: CB Series

A win for Australia puts them 9 points clear so it looks like they will be in the final.

Common sense says India will take the other spot but you never know.

Re: CB Series

India lacked common sense today. What was the need to send Pathan at 3? At 7 Uthappa is wasted. He is a specialist opening batsman so he should have batted at 3 in absence of Sehwag. I can't understand the reason behind this decision. And why did Yuvraj bowl when India were already playing with 5 specialist bowlers? The bowlers did a good job and India had a good opportunity to beat Australia.

Re: CB Series

really bad batting by india...if india lose to srilanka tomorrow then it will become very hard for us to get in the final :(

Re: CB Series

The Indian batsmen failed to chase 203 the other day on this track. So 238 seems like a challenging total. Although, the Sri Lankan bowlers are not as good as their Australian counterparts so it will depend upon how good they bowl today.

Re: CB Series

I just came home from college and when I saw the scores of Sangakkara and jayawerdena I thought Sri Lanka had made 300! They always keep saying in pitch report that it is a good batting track but there have been no big scoreson this ground. I think 238 is a big score on this ground but India can win. Thank God that Dhoni didnt send Pathan at 3 again. Now Uthappa has a chance to make some runs.

Re: CB Series

Sharma was almost run out there. Gambhir and Sharma are the only Indians in form. The last thing India need is a silly run out at this stage. Damn it, Gambhir is out anyway . The decision looks a bit dodgy but India are in deep shit now. This is a good time for Yuvraj to come back in form its his 200th match and India need him.

Re: CB Series

And he blows it, run out for 10 off 28. India on the back foot, 2 out and runs not flowing freely, should be an exciting finish

Re: CB Series

India is not in a good position. Just 52-3 in 16 overs. The run rate is very slow. Still need 183 runs to win. It looks very long way away.

Re: CB Series

239 is certainly a long way away and India doesn't have too much batting left. So they need a big partnership if they have to win. The required run rate is creeping up to 6 which makes matters worse for India. The good news is that Yuvraj Singh looks like he may have regained his touch.

Re: CB Series

The real test for Yuvraj will start now as Murali is bowling and everyone knows he isnt comfortable against spin. He was very lucky to escape with the top edge. But the signs are looking good for India. They have definitely put their foot on the accelerator. Last 3 overs have brought 26 runs.
