Re: CB Series

I have faith in India. I hope Tendulkar fires. He has a very poor record in Australia but he needs to correct it now. We can only win if Tendulkar and Yuvraj fires.

Re: CB Series

Seems like Sri Lanka will manage a win against Australia after all. Would have kept the series wide open had they done it earlier.
Australia can't seem to kick the habit of losing inconsequential games.

Re: CB Series

I think Australia used that game as a bit of a tune up session before the serious business of the finals.

Not much to comment on really as the game had little riding on it.

Re: CB Series

I think they wanted to prove a point in the 2007 Ashes. No game was a dead rubber for them. Australia don't lose much but when they do its generally a dead rubber. In a way its good as they don't lose when it matters the most.

Re: CB Series

Yeah, I was just having a bit of a laugh. Hopefully the loss has taught them a good few lessons, like how to spark a collapse!

Man I really thought a 50 was on the cards for James Hopes, but if one man can get out in really odd ways, then James is your man.

Re: CB Series

the indian top order needs to fire tomorrow. tendulkar, sehwag, yuvraj, sharma need to score. the top order has failed throughout the series and thats why we have lost games.

Re: CB Series

I hope India wins the Tri-Series and Adam Gilchrist scores heavily in the Finals.
A Champion like Adam Gilchrist deserves a good & Royal Farewell somewhat like Steve Waugh got (Still fresh in Mind)

lol gilchrist is a match winner if he scores then australia will win.

He top scored in the recent loss to Sri Lanka though, but in general I take your point - he is a matchwinner.

I think the aussies will walk the final, but I hope India put up some fight and at least take it to 3 finals - maybe they'll 'do an England' and win the thing!!

Re: CB Series

The batting needs to improve if India have to win. Tendulkar regained some form in the last game which is good but Sehawg hasn't been among the runs and I think Uthappa should open instead of him.

Re: CB Series

India gets the first breakthrough! Bad shot selection by Gilchrist more than anything else.

Re: CB Series

Ponting's bad form continues but now the inform clarke is in. His wicket will be very important but I sense he and Hayden might build up a partnership.

Re: CB Series

Ponting's wicket was more due to poor shot selection too. Two unnecessary wickets lost in my opinion. But Australia are in a spot of bother now as they have lost Michael Clarke too. The first 6 overs have undeniably gone India's way.

Re: CB Series

Yeah, that was a wrong decision. Was a pretty close call though. The ball passed the bat and hit the pad at just about the same time and the ball deflected a long way as well.

Re: CB Series

Bad signs for India. These two are scoring runs freely. The 50 partnership is up! Need a wicket or all the hard work will be undone.
