Sledge or BPMG,
Is there any reason for such a drastic decision? Didn't Brighton Church of Christ(always loved that name) merge because their money ran out plus they were struggling to attract players? I can't see how moving to the CMCA would change anything. You would end up losing all your good players who want to play turf and god forbid play for Hampton or others.
I think the VTCA will demand that Brightons seconds play in the South Division 2nds. It doesn't do the opposition clubs any good and it must be hard for the players getting belted every week.

Re: City of Moorabbin Cricket Association 09/10

Not bad by you, Clocker. Can't argue with any of what you've said.

Is there any reason for a failure to score Hampton Central's season?

Certainly not getting ahead of myself or making any bold prediction, but seeing our run home now, it would be fair to say we're a huge chance to go all the way if we can pinch a finals berth - current top 4 and the premiers of 2007/08. Those early losses will prove costly if we happen to come up short.

Flav come on pal i am shocked that a man of your experience is even dropping the 'F' word let alone thinking you can win Wooly and promotion into Longy, it is bloody December GF are not handed out then. You guys should be concentrating on this weeks game and getting to the brake in a good position. The moment you get ahead of yourself you will get smacked in the face. All take is one player from the opposition to turn it on and your season can be over at the wrong time.
I suggect focus on this round then reassess your goals given your ladder position, which may be at the resumption after the xmas brake your mission is to make top 4 and once you win the quota of games to secure that then maybe look towards top 2 but never ever get carried away and think about winning the pot of gold at the bottom of the Rainbow.

Good luck this weeka nd to all forum members have a good and safe merry xmas.

Thanks Grant Thomas!!

Pup, my god I hope your had just left the christmas party when u wrote that dribble, I'm gunna throw up!!
Next time, try fit a few more cliche's in??

anonymous, please explain??

good game yest, West looked the goods early at 0/55 but the 'ol Mays returned a blinder spell, on a flat/ sand infused pitch (ball wask-nakered after 10) with 6/50 off 25(roughly?), one of the better spells i have seen in a my time we chasing 175...

Re: City of Moorabbin Cricket Association 09/10

Evening All,

A busy few days of activity on the BCF let me clarify a few things.

Clocker

Congratulations on raising your posting bat for the 150th time with many great posts in that total.

Brudes

The ant player took the set penalty of 2 weeks I believe and if we are to believe Jimmy the MJFWS should be updated with tribunal results by the turn of the next century.By the way where are your tips?

Bottsy

As Merl can atest to you can't always be right as you have regularly told me.At least you provided the scoop and if you believe Jimmy's highly rating radio programme Stacey is only on one leg so may have just gone back to play with his mates!!Maybe Saul can fill us in and also let us know how PDog went in his come back and whether he had a beer for arvo tea???

What's your thoughts at the half way mark of the big BRC clash?

Burger,

What's the anonymous comment and what needs explaining?

Other matters prevented the Beemer cruising down to widdop cres and at this stage Merl would be confident in your lot registering a tipping point for him.

Bucks,

I suggest you outride your rookie status before taking on the two elder ( well Merl anyway ) statesman of the BCF.

Some very interesting games in both Longy & BRC which could go either way.

Merl will have a stab anyway

The brick seems to be it's slow old self and the non commenting judges mob will need to do everything right against a very sharp fielding side.I belive the coach was on at lot less than 90 when the walking sight screen turned down a very confident appeal.

Can Moose and the pretenders make the jellies wobble? If not they will be hard place to make an impact come March.

The Golf club are the club house leader and have the score on the board and it seems Southern Rd was as slow as the brick which could make it hard for the ants to crawl past the meagre total!!

Merl's Beach Boys will be untrouble to smash past old wallett park.

B's mob do not appear to have enough runs on the board against the tipless Brudes mob but their highly ranked attack and B's astute field placings will make it hard for the panthers to pance!!

The millionaires have left the door ajar for the jekell and hyde Lakers.Depending on which personality turns up will decide the game.

BRC

Uncle MIck's mob have left themselves open and it will take a big effort from the left arm sliders to get the chocolates against Merl's love child side who he has again failed to tip.I will stick my neck out and tip the best from the west to burst the love child bubble.

The RSL returned to moderate form against the under manned dog park mob who wouldn't surprise if they got the runs but it would be a huge upset!!!

ANA's 205 at the tiny King George may not be enough for a desparate Omega searching for an overdue win.

Burger to lead the bourbons over the line and celebrate winning the Guy / Shaw shield.

Brighton Union lead by a brilliant Jimmy Gaynor ton ( what's keepimg him out of the ones ) hopefully will have the jellies snatching another defeat out the jaws of victory.

the Manakis lead Lakers 300 plus should be more than enough against the pathetic purple & golds even with a pop gun attack.

until next time.............. vino sipping poster........ Prof Merlot

Given the ignorance of your post, I'm going to assume you're a young "Buck(s)" here. Save yourself the embarrassment in future by reading my post correctly champ. I made it pretty clear I'm not getting ahead of myself or making any bold predictions. I simply made a comment after seeing our draw put in front of me.
To date it's a fair call on our bowling line up. However, we've only once played with our best attack this season. We've got all hands on deck again this week and I'm very confident the result will end up in our favour.

Re: City of Moorabbin Cricket Association 09/10

Uncle Mick, this bowler you have added to your line up has alot of pressure to perform, we will see what he has got this week. It would be pretty embarrising to lose after looking at the draw and thinking one bowler is going to make a difference, we will have to wait and see.
