Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Yes i agree Arch, there will be other clubs opening the saving account for his services. Uniting would dearly love to get him there.
Have to disagree with you though Uncle Mick, Mikko and Andy Lee are both proven match winners, and both were named in the CMCA Best 11 last year.

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

That's fair enough. I wasn't sold on 'Mikko' last year. Seen him once and he came in to bat when they were in all sorts and the rain had marred the contest. From that I gathered that they hide him down the order cos he's reliable without an ability to be devastating.

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

No Worries Mick, According to other Guestbook West Bent has acquired the services of Con...Heard ANA have recruited Lex Luthor? Who else has started Pre season and how are the grounds looking for Rd 1?

can it get worse for the boys down at the RSL.

first they lose promising young pace bowler Luke Shelton to district duties at Prahran and a few retirements of the Wooly specials.

NOW just had confirmation of a valuable souce that promising middle order attacking batter Ryan Campbell and been picked up by Kingston Saints in the Sub Districts,

Will this mean that the likes of Simon Beasly will come out of a premature retirement.

heard they had picked up a few vtca players that will more than cover the losses?

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Lex Luthor? I don't get it????

HWCC have been moved to the top ground while the main ground gets resurfaced over the next 9-12 months. Long overdue.

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

perty they have but they are lower grade players...even if picked in the 1's will not be too much.

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Well said spot on they are has beens and wont have an impact on the RSL's premiership defence.

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

To the person that pretends to be Damien Krotofil is actually not Damien, they are a soft unit who goes under someone else to air there opinnions so they don't wreck there reputation.
This person is in with the Cmca executives, they should have balls to stand up and say who they are.
I know who you are.

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Wouldn't have thought it was him. Reckon he wouldn't know how to turn on a computer.

Why don't you out them Brett? Ordinary effort from a CMCA exec.

If this is true that this individual is on the Executive, then he/she should resign. The Exec. has been doing everything in its power to shut down any discussion or criticism and then this happens.Good luck with your coaching this year pup.It will be interesting to hear your thoughts on the merits of turf vs carpet.I hope you don't become one of these turf elitists....:D

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Resignation is a bit of a stretch. It's a forum. Let's not take this crap too seriously. There was nothing personal. Just a matter of opinions with someone not having the knackers to own up to their's.

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Life would be made much easier if everyone who posted put their correct name, these people hiding & giving views under aliases (esp. other players names) is fairly spineless!!

As UM stated its only a forum so no-one really cares to much I wouldn't think?

I highly doubt a league official would post under a players name ie. Buddh's:rolleyes:

Ordinarily UM I would agree, however when its commented on other web sites without a clarification it damages then name of the individuals and clubs they represent.God knows Mackie's reputation is bad enough without adding more fuel to the fire.

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Only bad rep ive heard from Mackie is that their fitness has cost them in the past...Think there should be a vote on whether we use this thread or the one Krotofil started i think last year?! Once again Clement's named linked to WB, diff wont go though.

WB has certainly been busy off season.Still trying to get my head around CP leaving BUCC.Heard there were some rumblings last season behind the scenes with their centenary celebrations.Could be an important year for them, because if they fail to perform they may find that they lose a lot more players. The batting line up is starting to look a little fragile especially if they happen to be 2 or 3/ for not many.No Champ down the order will also be a huge loss. Where did Stacey end up?

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Perhaps another issue that has caused some frustrations is the appointment of new comer Delak as capt?? Any more news on this 20/20 format for the One Day Comp?

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

I find it odd that a Captain the calibre of Pothidos be dropped from the top job.
Regarding Krotofil and the person posting under he's name, i have only heard who it is from someone how much of he's word i take i am not sure.
But i must be 100% to put there name in lights otherwise it would be unfair to do so if i was incorrect.
I agree with Burger aka NICK McMillian all post on this forum people should put there names down.
Like who is Jamster.
Who ever it is i thank you for your words of encourage ment, regarding Turf to synthetis i have played probably 25-30 Turf games and for me it suits me more as i am a front foot batsman. Turf is a little more challenging because of the inconsistant bounce, but at the end of the day there are quality cricketers in both styles of cricket.
I rate all competitions on par with each other, i can't see why one might be better then any other.
VTCA, CMCA, DDCA, SOUTHERN there all the same thats my opinnion.

With Union won thing you need to do to become a successful side is gel as a team on field and off, i can only use Uniting as an example when we won the flag.
We would go out on a Saturday night every few weeks (the whole side) and you just seem to pull together better on a Saturday.

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Pup, I not one for the perfect use of the "Queens English"

But your spelling is far-ken grade 3 like, were you ************** when you wrote that last post, I hope so!!

As for your turf history, as I played in a majority of the games you would have on turf.. Yes you made a few runs.. but the its was like playing in the 4ths (apart from the odd player)!!
Make sure you get home on friday nights at 7am.. As we did the year we won the flag:eek::rolleyes::D
As such I wouldn't read to much into your turf form, why don't you apply at Union.. By all reports the are looking for a solid caramel batsman!! (before you all start with the racist call, I know both Con's & Pup well enough to say I'm only joking)

Good luck with it anyway Lazza'

PS-Will probably see you over the first 2 months as you will be washed out by Wednesday until late November..
