Mick, I suggest you come down to one of our training sessions and have a look at what our coach is trying to do in order to make our top sides competitive for the long run.

Thanks for the offer Sugar, but I've got enough on at HW to have to worry about how ANA are training. I was simply trying to obtain a more honest response. Whilst I believe the split is an amicable one, there are reasons greater than the requirements placed on all players. Matty's would be a specific case because as Guy was alluding to, it's no secret there was a financial incentive behind you gaining his services, which in essence compromises the requirements on "all" players.

As for you Brett, I'm over jumping down your throat. Your sentences are that disjointed by your lack of grammar and syntax that I have absolutely no idea what you're on about in your posts. I'm sure it makes sense in your head, but I can't be bothered trying to decipher any point you're trying to make. It astounds me that you can find so much time to dedicate to your cricket yet you won't respect the English language enough to learn it to a reasonable level.

Marto you speak alot of sense and all your points are valid and good, some clubs are different and a lazy cricketer can always find excuses not to get to training it happens everywhere.
To say they are not on the right track is your opinion and there is nothing wrong with, if there are kids been held back and this guy can't train that sends a bad message so hourses for courses, we a park cricketers "yes" but does not mean we still can't get the best out of each individual.

I'm tipping the guys in charge of the club can tell between someone cutting corners and making up excuses and the blokes that genuinely have difficulties making all training sessions, club functions etc.

I know where the coach is coming from and i don't totally disagree but there are always exceptions. I know it's a bit different but even in the AFL, the older players don't train as much due to their age. It never is and never will be the same for everyone unless we're talking about the army or navy or something like that.

Geez Brett, all this talk on the CMCA thread, you must really miss your former club.

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

This topic has nothing to do with my old club.

And Marto your spot on with the older guys, they should be aloud to some difference in what training they must do particularly if they have been around for 20 years.

Flav, Lucky your faarking perfect i am sick of your the best s**t you are a very good english student well CLAP CLAP.
I don't give a reats toss bag my job does not require me to even put pen to paper so i don't care and it shows so move on champ.

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

This league and it's forum has everything to do with your old club.

Speaking of giving a "reats" toss, I was making a point that a don't give a rats toss about the point you're trying to make due to your disdain for the English language. It's got nothing to do with whom speaks the language better. It's about being in your mid 20's and not being able to construct a proper sentence, you mule. It's quite simple.... get back on the tools and off this forum. You're wasting everyone's time.

The club will miss Matty this season, as he would make a hell of a difference if we are lucky enough to make finals. Contrary to other speculative posts, Matt enjoyed the blokes at the club. However, sadly due to several reasons, including work, family & injuries, he couldn't meet the requirements that the coaching staff had put in place for all players, and as a result we've all separated on good terms.

sugar, question.. why would u make such stringent training requirements for one of your (apparently) best players that forces him to quit the club? surely this is to the detriment of the team. id like to know the difference between your training requirements and that of cheltenhams that allows him to play there? surely you could allow a talented player to ease off his training load if he had other legitimate commitments. perhaps your club needs to be a little bit more realistic as cricket at this level is supposed to be fun. and looking at how successful u have been these high standards are obviously not working! so the question is who wins.. and i think ull find that u have lost a good player as a result of lacking common sense and flexibility

unless u are just talking sh!t? which would make alot more sense..

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

I know down at Duncan Street where 6 of the last 7 flags have gone, players have often missed training sessions and even games due to other commitments such as work, family and footy training. It's already been said but if everyone is honest then there should be no issues with it. Perhaps you could take a leaf out of "The Zoo's" training model, Sugar. It seems to be working for them.

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

stop your whinging and whining you boys.
lets get back onto the on field stuff and keep your noses out of other clubs business.
ernst go back to the ddca.

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

You know what, i am sick of this shit. Lets be honest Brett, the reason why you are not at BU is because they said you weren't going to be captain because no one liked you. Be true to yourself and honest.

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Cougar. Grab a tissue and wipe the tears from your cheek you goose.
If i was not liked and un-popular like you say do you think i would have been given the Captaincy for 2 years and been there for 11 years.

I think whats been a waste of time, is the fact i defend you to people who all think your an arrogant ar**hole and really hate you with a passion. I guess i thought just because i played some years of 21's with you i thought you were ok and i DEFENDED YOU. Big mistake you are that ARROGANT ARSEHOLE that everyone talks about and i know you have been bailed up a few times for talking s**t with a whimper when done so. And the fact you think you own this forum and have the right to tell people what to do shows your arrogance.

By the way if your little pawn Bottsy was smart enough he could have worked out that your statement regarding exchange of numbers was a load of S**T.
You had a function on one day and we ran into each other and you asked for my number to invite me along, This goes to show how much S**t you speak Flav and now would be a brilliant time to pull your own head out of your arse and realise other people have views that may not be the same as yours.

Have a nice day, i am done.

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

flav.
we should just make a woolnough shield thread or a highett west thread, cause to be honest no one gives a rats toss how good your team is or how hard done by your club was last round by one decision, and stop thinking ur the big cat of this thread cause im sick of reading shit bout what you think.

Ernst, kudos for getting some nuts about you and having an honest opinion. Amazing that you can actually make sense when you want to. I couldn't care less about anyone who has a negative opinion of me. Unlike you I'm quite secure in my life and don't need to qualify myself by trying to be everyone's mate or telling the forumites how or why you're mates with your ex-teammates. I'm sure they'll go into bat for you if required. No surprises they haven't.... So do your best kiddo, and continue to enhance your reputation with each post.

Then don't read it. I can only comment in depth on incidents I've witnessed or have heard about firsthand which are naturally going to be Woolnough, Highett West and East Sandy for the most part. You may not be interested in Woolnough, but there are others that are.
As for thinking I'm the big cat, that's an assumption you've made. I simply have the time to post more often than most on this forum and where I see a topic I have an opinion on, I'll give it. You don't like it.... deal with it champ, cos it's not going to stop.

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

All tight at the top in Longy after the weekend's results. 8 sides still have a legitimate claim on a finals berth with West Bentleigh having to make up the most ground on 15. Round 6 should separate a few men from the boys by Xmas.
And good to see the big fella get a ton. All class from what I hear. After a solid 07/08 without setting the world on fire, he's got 200 in 3 hits now. Xmas probably can't come quick enough for the bowlers.

In the taboo topic of Woolnough there's a bit of a break in the field with Kingston Heath way out in front and Union & Moorabbin West 9 points behind, then a host of sides battling for that last spot in the 4. East Sandy, HW & last year's premiers all can't afford to drop their last one before Xmas. As is the case in Longy, we'll know more about who are the contenders and pretenders by the time we're tucking into our Xmas turkey.

Mick i don't have an issue that you have your own view's.

As you have said above the highlighted text you don't care what people think, but you clearly do as you feel the need to defend yourself as you have done now and on several other times.
It is normal when someone cans you to stick up for yourself, as i do and don't have a problem doing so.

I don't need BUCC people to defend me as i still speak to them and i know there view's and if they did get on here then it would be a waste of time as they would recieve back lash like every other forum user has recieved at one time or another.

Plain and simple. If you come on here be prepared to dish it and cop it.

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Mick & Brett... you guys put good contributions on this site, but I would recommend you leave your personal squabbling to private messages between the two of you.

I think I can speak on behalf of all readers in that you are really embarassing yourselves.

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Maybe I should've been a bit clearer, Brett (gee, you make this hard sometimes)..... I couldn't care less about anyone who wants to attack my character. I put myself up for criticism with my constant posting and jibes let alone my mouth on the p*ss. Not to dissimilar to you looking foolish by qualifying your position amongst BUCC folk as a St.Kilda member who goes fortnightly etc. No one cares and you continue to look like a goose.
Conversely, I will explain myself when things aren't being made clear to those who respond or give an opinion.
Now please, for fear of already looking like a di(khead by getting into this debate with you, I will politely decline any further interaction. Feel free to get the last word in....

Couldn't agree more Adam.

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Good to see a fair turn out from all clubs yesterday watching some decent 20/20.Both CMCA teams did well with some serious big hitting from Backers and Richo for Uniting and Buddhs and Ice at Mackie. Not sure how anyone else feels but that white ball looks fantastic and much easier to pick up from a supporter point of view.It might be a different story after 72 overs though. Your apology for your absence yesterday is also noted 'Jimmy' as I hear you were breaking in a new couch and finalizing the terms of reference with respect to the use of the WIDE Screen.Keep it vague and ambigious.
