Buddy, the odd one out is you, you just dont realise it yet. I wrote "I hope women play top level cricket" Not ; Of course its possible women do make it to the top level?
"Hasnt happened and wont in the near future" Soumds like your sitting on the fence buddy, slingin the occasional volley of abuse. Do you ever get a game or are you just a really active spectator? Rhetorical, buddy.

top fast bowlers in womens cricket are about 120-130 km/h are they not? there are bowlers of that speed in mens cricket. there is not reason they could not be a pace bowler either.
i say yes they could. there are some bloody good women cricketers out there that are held back by themselves and everyone else. as a bowler, most likely a spinner, they wouldnt have to bat that high in the order, and someone like lisa sthalekar could bat better then a lot of no.10 or 11s world wide while still bowling, even if facing faster speeds, which i am pretty sure they do in training anyway.
i think it is quite possible for it to happen, and i like watching womens cricket as much as mens so i dont really have an objection.
the only problem though is the male/female thing. a male cricketer would not be allowed to play womens cricket, so why should a female cricketer be allowed to play mens cricket. you would be pretty much saying that mens cricket is far superior to womens in that women could be selected to go that step higher. i believe the australian womens team is better then the mens anyway.

McGrath bowled at 120-130km/h...and look at what he did. The only concern for women in mens cricket is safety; look at how many blokes get knocked out after being hit. I'm not saying women are soft (i know a few who are happy to fight a bloke), but i dont think they would be able to handle the men's side of cricket. To go with that, there are also legal implications, waivers and all sorts that need to be sorted out prior to getting a game. I have no issue with a woman playing the game; its just the safety issue.

Careful Wizz! Watch them jump out the trees now to have a dig even though they have no figures to go on.

Err... it's a hypothetical. By definition, there are no 'numbers to go on' from either side of the argument.

Not a matter of belief... you're welcome to use a dictionary to look it up.

funny you should say that, the new America formula one team has thrown lots of cash at luring the USAs leading female Nas car driver, she knocked it back though. as for cricket, no way, no chance, unless they look like that female 800 mtr runner whos been in the news lately lol.

You mean Danica Patrick? She drives Indy Cars. I don't think there's a female driver in the NASCAR series' at the moment.
