Don't think there is any more really to add? The season will be shorter due to the Super League, GF scheduled for 14th & 15th September, which means we'll either be playing some Saturday Sunday two day matches and/or playing on the Show Weekend.

No decision on whether T20's will be played.

The Chips

Was wanting to know if the same scheduling and T20's will be involved this year as was last year (which is what i wanted you to add if you knew). For example playing T20's on the Sunday and any Public holidays that occur early on (ANZAC Day). Also will there be the same 4 one day games, 4 two day games, 3 one day and 3 two day format which was displayed last year?

There was a player's survey carried out at the end of last season, the results were shown at the AGM and from memory it was 55% were happy with the amount of cricket and 45% were against it. So they will be going with the 45% that were against T20's and the draw shall return to the normal seven one day matches followed by seven two day matches. There was no decision then at the President's Meeting on if there would be a T20 competition held separately like previous years.

Surely you can't completely eliminate a format from the draw? It's an excellent chance to blood young players, go back to the round robin, NTIS can have a team with maybe 4 senior players from the strong clubs, and then play a semi and final for the cup and some cash.

The next PM isn't until March, will it be resolved by then, no one knows. I've seen a copy of the scheduled draw and it looks like it'll be 3 OD's followed by 3 two day matches, then 3 OD's and then the last three two day matches. Show weekend is free. The OD's in the middle are meant to be from memory to accommodate that teams will have players missing and so on during the mid-year holidays.

Spoke to AA-V at imparja training last night ( i was "getting my eyes in" before i go down to umpire the tournament) he says he's going to the tigers with an offer of "batting up the order in all three grades and not having to keep.
