DVCA Barclay Reserve

Macleod couldnt even get 11 players on the field in C grade last round and it is thier highest placed team. They also had a none playing captain last year when we played them. They are a second rate club.

Just because they had a player short ? No less than 6 players pulled out at midday on Saturday for personal reasons over all grades ( including 3 from Barclay reserve ) so to field a side with 10 men rather than forfiet was the best case scenario.

To suggest that they are a second rate club is just a flippant remark.

Its people like you who don't even know how to spell the word MACLEOD, who I don't rate.

What issue(s ) do you have with MACLEOD CC anyway ?

Hey Serg,

Look who just forfieted their 2nds for this sundays game...Epping & Macleod.

Macleods 'C' grade where a chance to make to 4, but because their 2nds have forfieted it means that every grade below them has forfieted.

and you wonder why I dont rate them.

Re: DVCA Barclay Reserve

I think its ridiculous to apply the 'below grade' forfeit rule here - because of a unique situation half the grades are on Saturday, half on Sunday. If you can't field a side on the sunday it shouldn't impact the saturday grades.

Also, why is BR/MR not on the saturday? Put the highest grades on the Saturday.

why? so they have to forfeit aswell as all the other grades below them??

surely you could find 11 blokes that arent doing anything on a standard sunday. poor effort

I'm 100% certain that the second's played on Sunday.

You were pretty quick to jump the gun there fella.

Your sources seem a tad un-reliable

While i don't agree with 100% bull on his thoughts towards your club, i can confirm that an email was sent to all clubs @ 1:35 pm on friday advising your "b" grade forfieted therefore all teams below were unable to play. i believe this was reversed at about 8pm on friday night. i guess they didn't realise that all remaining teams would be unable to play.
i still find it hard to beleive that clubs couldn't find 11 players to play on sunday though, it was difficult, but surely not impossible.

i think it's pretty poor that Epping decided not to play, i know they had a function but i reckon they would have played if "A" grade were scheduled and a final spot was on the line.

what a suprise...so 100% bull has opened his mouth too early again...:rolleyes:
i think 100% should apologise now...and then tell us that regardless of whether Macloed or Epping did or did not play there 2's. -that he still doesn't rate them!! :D

Yeah, well, the club did have a 10k raffle draw which is the biggest function for the year and sold all 250 tickets so I can understand why the club initially wanted to forfiet. We weren't aware of the ruling until the league advised us, so in the best interest of everyone concerned, the game went ahead but at another venue.

Btw, great day at Macleod Park sunday with Brian Taylor. Went until the early hours of the morning with plenty of sore heads today.

They both declared forfeits and then retracted them, so no apology forthcoming regardless of what eventually transpired. Either way though, I still dont rate them.

Thanks for stiring the pot Bear.;)

Thats is what most people said about you during your career.

Lovely to hear from you Della, I only seem to hear from you when you get some runs. which is rare. Give me a call back in ten seasons and a few thousand more runs, we'll talk then.
