King of the valley, you are a dead set flog! you are up there with Snowy!

Only bagged Burgs, a mate! I asked you what club you are from, and you are too gutless to reply??? I didn't lie when I said I play ones!

Ha ha, they give away ones games for fun down at Panther Park don't they??

Re: DVCA: Barclay Shield

Can anyone from Plenty confirm that Sleeman has left or was he just doing a little extra by training with Holy Trinity?

Mark is playing with Sleeman (i played juniors there with him) and we played against them in a practice match on the weekend.

He missed the pitch a few times and bowled a few 10 ball overs, nothing's changed!:D

Re: DVCA: Barclay Shield

Mark Sleeman has his head up his own arse. Wants everyone to tell him how good he is but doesn't realise he aint as good as he thinks.

Panther Place? Where did you pull that from knob-head? You are very interested in where I play yet hide your own identity? Is that because you either:

a. Play for a shit club?
b. Are a two-bit 4ths player?
c. Both
d. Or the fact you are that much of a knob, that if you say where you are really from you will get bagged like nothing else!

You're a dead set waste of sperm! Your mother should have swallowed!

Hasn't this site deteriorated since the change.Anyone got any tips on the first round games next week and why.Surely someone has something to say which will add value to the purpose of the site. How will the reigning premiers go first up under Mc Taggart?,how will Diamo go after being runners up in 2007/08:)? Are Riverside the real thing ? Can Research fire this year? What's the real go at Macleod? Give us something ,something, anything which will focus on cricket and not shit!:)

Very true mate, I believe I know who JB's Shadow is and he isn't lying, technically he plays ones at Eltham but I can't remember him ever doing anything worth noting. He lips off way too much for his ability and output, which is pretty poor. You are a fair tool Quinlan.....

Quinlan? Get your facts right Once again you throw shit at me, yet escape from revealing yourself! Had a look on Results vault and Quinlan has played over 50 1s games, so you can't throw too much shit at him unless you have played more! And we will never know unless you grow some balls and tell us?

Could it be that you are a one.......Rodney White? A washed up player who has only ever played 2s? And only played that level for a reason?

Re: DVCA: Barclay Shield

Whitey not playing with the search this year. Apparently its to far for him to travel for training and all the rest of it. That will hurt them.

Forgetting knobofthevalley, i'll answer your questions.......

1. Epping will be very hard to beat with the team they have. (apparently not losing anyone from last years GF) and with the inclusion Mc Taggart will only make them stronger.

2. Diamond Creek are always strong. They don't seem to gain or lose anyone each year. But they must breed good cricketers! As per usual for the Creekers.

3. Riverside are a great club, always have been, always will be. But can they get the Port Adelaide Football Club (02 03) chokers tag off their backs?

4. Research. In BIG trouble! Word on the street is they have lost lots of cattle, and the guys that are there don't seem to really care! Will need to have Turner make 550+ runs to get anywhere!

5. Macleod seem to have taken 6 years to get to where they were expected to be, Barclay Shield. Yet will they fire or fizzle? They have a gun bat who made a thousand runs last year but will he be the same against 2,3 gun bowlers in every team? May struggle first year up!

i'll add:

6. Eltham. Will find it tough this year, as they always do. They never seem to be bottom of the ladder, but never give finals a shake. If they can get the same team as last year to step up they might go closer. The flew out of the gates last year and fell in a heap. Bottom 2!

7. Mernda will be the same as last year. Knock off a few teams they weren't meant to. And get done by a couple they should beat. Snowy will make runs, and the old man Baker will get wickets. But will need some extra help from someone.

8. Lower Eltham must pull their fingers out, a very good club with a great list of players but they were shooting blanks last year (Are they the DVCA's StKilda?) With Conlan Gunn going across look out for them to give it a shake! Losing "the pig" will not help their scores on the board, but will help morale!

9. Bundoora will go alright this year, purely for one reason. You don't hear much about them. They just go about their business quietly. Not much news on recruits or if they have kept the imports.

10. Plenty will either be in the top 3 or the bottom 3. they are a great side and fought back well last year. But can they get themselves out of trouble again?

11. Lalor Stars. Or should I say the "Keays Stars"? It's fairly simple with them. However many games Keays wins they win. Toppi will also have to have a blinder for them to play finals.

12. Lower Plenty will be the one to beat. Can Arnberger be the first man to hit 1500 runs in a season (tongue in cheek) His vic career saw him either make 0 or hundreds. BIG hundreds. So on the small quick grounds watch him hit a couple of 200's! Can't see them flop with him in the side!

I know ill cop crap for my comments, but this is just how I see it! I haven't mentioned every influential person to keep comments brief. Apologises for that.

Re: DVCA: Barclay Shield

With some really great news for us Lovie is a 90% chance of lining up in round 1 against lower plenty. His injury has come up quite well from the last couple of weeks training runs. The batting line up is looking much more dangerous with him in the team. Really he was definately the difference between us missing out on the finals last year, and probably the difference with us not winning the flag again.

His presence alone will get the team up about from ball one. With his batteries recharged and still in his 30's and heaps more cricket ahead off him the future at plenty is looking rosie again.

Its just really good to have the man back. Anyone else at their club have a similar sort of optimisim this year for one reason or another? Interesting to see who actually believes they can win it. I personally believe this year is the most open for spots in the 4 ever.

I'm assuming we're not hearing Brad from Eltham on SEN anytime soon?

We have to put up with his shit on SEN all the time, someone should call up the DVCA radio show every Saturday under the alias of "Snowy from Greensborough" and be a dead set knob like him!

Gday Sticky how did you guys go against the boys from Holy Trinity? Any of the new recruits do any damage with bat or ball....

Burgs, surely you have better things to do than get on BC and write about yourself! But then again maybe you don't!

"Would walk into the bowling rotation at any Barclay Shield club IMVHO..."

You are right he would. Fifth change. Bowls poo!

I'm not Burgs, mate...I know him and the Lower Eltham boys though...

I used to play C grade, but I'm not playing this season...

This is just my opinion, by no means gospel....

He is the best into the wind bowler in the comp....

I'm also tipping he'd comfortably get you out - a good cricketer would never come on here and lip off the way you do...
