What about the performance Diamo's C grade put in this week ?

0-179 off 30 overs :)

Or Bundoora's 470 in E Grade!

Having a look through it appears that score was aided by an A grade batsman - Shannon Gibson made 184!

Some big hits...is the quick grounds helping? I reckon if you are disciplined enough and hit along the ground its just gunna happen (making runs) Its all sems to be time and discipline.

I drove past the Doreen ground (where Gibson played) the other day and it looked like an absolute dust bowl!

The only bit of grass was for about 1 meter around the pitch, the driest ground I've seen in a long time..

Prez, you seem to have misinterpreted my post a little, I was actually and still am on your side in regards to imports and the way your club and others have used them and am fully supportive of them to the comp (actually would have liked to see a few playing tommorrow for the DVCA). What I was saying that we where abused and ridaculed for having an import years ago and instead of sooking up in public we laughed at all cries of foul and continued to just play cricket and run our club in our clubs own interests, not that of others that thought what we where doing was wrong.

If you have critics then let them be, you and a few other Bundy boys get on here and really get your nickers in a knot about any criticism about your club, I agree stick up for yourselfs but you lose credibility when you continue to bag others for having an opinion that differs from yours. If another_ton is from LECC fine, I personnaly do not know him and his opinion is his and I respect that.

The topic of imports is never going to go away, actually playing the Stars on Sat the rumours of what they have and what they may possibly get will rock the valley next year. There will be critics of them (as there was of us, Research a few years back and many others that have done it) and I am sure they will not care, as long as they are winning. I just hope the topic does not start to get personnel and we all just get over it.
CC,

No was not criticising you but Another Ton. However truth has been revealed and I have discovered that Another Ton is actually not a Lower Eltham boy but some other useless flog who needs to get a job and stop wasting his time on here.

Apologies for any reference made to LE on this site. However, I was set up to beleive by the way the posts were written to be from LE.

I think I have less time for this flog now than i did before???

Perhaps should change his tital to "Another-Failure" His only recent acomplishment being able to suck me in on this fourm!!

gibbo played in our 4ths because i didn't want to drop any players in our higher grades for him to play. he played 3 of the first 4 rounds and this was the only other game he was available for this season. it's a shame cos i would have loved him batting at 6 in A grade all season. from what the boys tell me there was not much slogging involved, just good cricket shots, would have been good to watch

yeah the ground was fairly dry we played at. Gibbo batted awesome but there was also some other good scores (J.Carlyon 66, T.Campbell 65) and a few 30's.

I think all the teams who batted throughout Bundoora scored over 300 this week :)
