DVCA - C grade and below

Re: DVCA - C grade and below

well hopefully the might of the Mill Park F Grade can continue the run of 2/2 from games against NEW, and I'd be careful, some good unavailable saturday players are playing.

Re: DVCA - C grade and below

Bundooras F Grade team of last year was easily the best team and would be hard to beat if the same team played this year. This team was filled with young guns with the likes of Simon Baring, Darcy Campbell, Brodie Odermatt, Matthew Dunkerton and Riley Dyson. These young guns were backed up by very experienced players with the like of the skipper Mike 'Chopper' Sheahan, Peter James, Les Dyson, Gavin Baring, Terry Campbell and Gary Murphy.
These blokes had a superb season with both the bat and ball and i would just like to refresh some of your minds with some individual highlights this team had produced.
Riley Dyson: In the last round he pulled off a stunning performance making his first 100. Only at the ripe age of 15, this kid could really turn into a big superstar in the future.
Matthew Dunkerton: Very handy off spinner who slowed down the pace of the oppositions run rate. A very smart cricket player with both bat and ball.
Brodie Odermatt: He is a smart opeining bowler who took many wickets. In the last round took a double hat-trick to roll the team out for a dismal 42. Can hold his own bat as seen in the grand final when he made 50 not out coming in at number 9.
Darcy Campbell: A scary opening bowler with extreme pace. Also a very handy middle order batsman as seen in the grand final when he made his 50. Took the final wicket to secure Bundooras Flag.
Simon Baring: Very good opening batsman who takes his time to get underway. Once he gets his eye in its very hard to get him out. Made a couple of impressive scores in the 60s and 80s.
These young guns are the future of cricket.
It would be very hard to disagree !

Have any of them gone on to do bigger and better things this year in Seniors ????

I never said it was the best team in H grade i just said we have the best captain

I was also saying that. ;)

His stint at the Leap has produced 3 fiftys out 5 innings.
Plus he has lightning fast reflexes fielding at silly mid on.

Like a gazelle...

Crawford has the ability toplay for Australia (LOL) but he doesn't use it. He is bout giving the kids a shot. Captaining isn't about being the best it's about leading your players, giving them direction and encouraging ;)

This is very true. Our H Grade captain is also like this. This is shown by him opening the bowling with a under 14 ahead of a former Barclay bowler. He also bats him self at number 8, giving everyone a go. He's also quite a good batting partner; never taking risks, always with encouraging words.

Don't think when you have MP H Grade 5 down that you have the game won, the fun has only just begun.

No, no they won't.

yes, yes they will ;)

if you look at their 16's team all but 2 have been selected to play C grade or above, one of the juniors doesn't play seniors and the other is playing with his dad in G grade. Pretty talented bunch of kids if u ask me.

You only have 5 teams, meaning the entire 16's team has 44 chances out of 55 to get a game in D-grade or higher.

Shows the depth of the club beyond the 2's if Cotter is running around in the 3's. Not Smith though, he's rightfully deserved his spot.
